no, at the time gt2 came out me and a friend of mine used to play gt2 for months, and we never get any special car for completing all races from manufactrers
:(

Actually in GT2 you don't even win prize cars for completing the Manufacturer's cups.
However, they do go towards your percentage of completion.

Also, completing the race generator series of races goes to your percentage of completion.

If it becomes a money thing, one of the unlimited HP races. (Red Rock Valley, I believe) will net you 50,000 and a TVR Speed 12 every time you win there.

I myself have financed a lot of builds on my cars using that race.

By the time I get to the manufacturer's cups, they are the last thing I'm doing.
I find them mostly boring. But to liven things up, I try to win with a low Hp version of the required car.
I may have built up everything else...cause in GT reality, if you change to the racing gearbox, and can use the transmission to the fullest, you can usually beat everything in the same class.

I find these Events boring, too. BTW, before I started this thread I was thinking, that if you manage to win them all you 'll receive the McLaren F1, for example, or another hidden car (or something else). But it looks like all you receive is just a couple percents in the game status bar.

Yeah, the Manufacturer Events just contribute to your percentage. No car rewards. Some of them are quite fun though (notably the Viper & Corvette Events, and a few others I forgot).

They get boring after awhile, but I did like the fact that

1). you never know which track you're gonna race next. The game automatically switches around. Something PD dropped in later games.

2). Manufacturer cups are the only way (one of 3 ways, actually) that you'lll get to race Rome Nite without slapping in the Arcade disc.

3). Reversed tracks are included in the "random" selection of tracks.

Like Gil, I used to limit my power & stuff. Not only does this keep these races competitive, it keeps them cost-effective, too. đź’ˇ

Where's Autumn Ring Mini, Rome Night, and Motorsports Land? These three tracks are all on the Arcade Disk only (Rome Night sometimes appears in races where randomly-selected tracks can appear). You can force them all to appear in Sim Mode if you want to use a GameShark.

^Right. That's what I said, sort of. Rome Nite only appears randomly using the Sim disc if you're doing Manufacturer's events, Event Generator races, or using a Gameshark. Otherwise, you'll need to use the Arcade disc to race this track.

Strangely, Rome-Night gets selected very often when I'm doing Manufacturer Races. 2 out of 3 races will be on Rome-Night. Not that I'm complaining, I just can't get enough of that track :D.

By the way, you can also race Rome-Night in Sim mode if you go to License Test S-9 (I may be wrong on the number, but it's definitely in S Class). You get to drive the Alfa Touring Car around Rome-Night. When I first played through the Licenses, this test is the most awesome for me.

LeGeNd-1, you are right, seems like the track simulator only picks about 5 tracks and it's just not fun. You know what, thinking about GT2, makes me wanna play it real soon, on my PS3.:gtpflag:

Wow. That's not what I expienced. I've noticed Event races at all the tracks except Autumn Ring Mini and Motorland. Depending on what you enter, they can be very difficult races. It seems the Ai some times takes extra chances with out-braking and stuff more successfully on the hardest level.

I remember entering a Dodge Viper GTS with full power, for instance, and blowing them away. But when I entered a Ford Ka (on the hardest setting) I remember getting trounced! And this was towards the end of my GT2 days, when I was supposedly as good as I ever was.

The only critcism I had of EG races is that they're not long enough. 2 laps? There should be longer ones than this.
