Cute answer, they are. And there are many other cars in GT5 that come two tone, & can be painted, but lose the two tone when painted. The Veyron sure isn't the only one.

Now, is there some part of the word unpaintable are you having trouble understanding?

I don't have a problem with the word "unpaintable" at all. I'm just another person who believes the Veyron could be in the list due to extenuating circumstances. You don't think so, fine. This is a forum, no need to be bullish about it.

Bullish? You're the one trying to change what this list is. It's for unpaintable cars.

This exact issue already came up before in this topic, another list was started as a result for the Veyron & other exotics. The information you want is already contained in another list.

That topic is here. -> https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=177520

The OP of this thread (KriLi) seems to be M.I.A., last update 15 days ago & last online 7 days ago. :indiff:

And DAGO's list is mixed with paintable & unpaintable cars. And there are also some two tone colored repaintable cars (which loosing the two tone color after the repaint job) not on his list, f.e. some old school Honda's & Nissan's. :sly:

Not sure whats going on with this thread or if someone else has pointed out another colour for the
Honda S2000 LM Race Car. It also comes in pink. :)

Also, trying to get all cars that are NOT paintable in white. (I don't care about two tones and what not, just the non paintable white cars).
So if you have any that are in white which can't be painted, PM me or better yet... add me. I have all cars and paints for trade.

Not sure if anyone has noticed this, the Mitsubishi FTO Super Touring Cars are numbered. The numbers (apart from yellow one) are quite difficult to make out on the side, but I did manage to get them. Only number i'm not sure about is the one for the Blue car, looks like an 8 to me but is the hardest of the bunch to make out:

#2 Black
#7 Yellow
#8 Blue
#6 Red
#1 Green
#5 Grey/Carbon
#3 White

What about the Chaparrals? Can they be painted?

No, but they are only available in one color.

I found an other unpaintable car, the Honda Today G.

I know it is available in red and white, and from what I remember from GT4, it should also be available in blue.

Yes, he missed the Mitsubishi FTO Super Touring Cars. 👍

Wow, you are right. The Honda Today G '85 is indeed a non repaintable one. :dopey:👍

I did a search in the GT5 Colour Database & the Today is available in 4 colors:

  • Flame Red
  • Quartz Silver Metallic
  • Sunny Yellow
  • Greek White

Some days ago i sold some of them. :banghead:

First of all, thanks for setting up and publishing this list 👍

I've got a Chevrolet Camaro SS ‘69 in Garnet Red, which is not yet listed.

And the Subaru Super Touring Car should be designated as Subaru Impreza Super Touring Car.

Edit:
- my Honda Integra Type R Touring Car in yellow has #31, do these numbers differ or why are they not listed?
- my Honda S800 RSC Race Car '68 #25 - Yellow is also not paintable but not listed
- same with Nissan Calsonic Skyline GT-R Race Car '93 #12 - Blue
i think each car with a number sign is not paintable ...

Just posting this for notification and double checking;

I just purchased a Mitsubishi FTO Super Touring Car. I know that blue is already listed, but the one I have seems to be dark blue, However, can anyone confirm that this FTO has only 1 Shade of blue? And just to give you all an idea, mine is darkish navy blue, and just wish to double check that there are other shades available for this model.

I really wish this list would get updated. I've searched the Internet for a list like this and it seems this is the only one.

The dark blue'ish one is the blue one. ;)👍

Yea, it's annoying. They creating a thread, updating it for 2 weeks and then they are gone and never been seen again on GTP. :indiff:

But, if you want a updated list, then you only need to check my thread: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=174962

The list should be completed. :dopey:👍

Actually, I think it may have been Garnet Red for my 69 Camaro (which was already mentioned). So many colors, so little time. lol.

Krili doesn't login since April. Check my signature for actual list of unpaintable cars, in GT5 Car Catalogue thread ;)

Yea, check Duck's GT5 Car Catalogue. :)👍

It's the most complete database of rare cars & paints. And he's still updating it. The "GT5 Collectable Cars stand alone list 2.07 - Google Doc format" (on the bottom of his thread) is what you are looking for. :sly:

Edit: I just checked the stand alone list & it's private. So, I guess he's still working on it. Ask for permission or download the standard one. There are all rare cars listed, but not separated. Click through the tabs on the bottom of the document. I am sure you figure out how he listed these collectable/rare cars. 👍

The camaro comes in black, green, blue, and red with white as the secondary color.

It is paintable but you lose all the 2 tone so you can never put it back to original color. Ex. Black/white becomes all black or all white.

So collect the 4 colors and buy a 5th to paint!
