Mastering Nordschleife parts impossible because of bug?

I tried to master the daylight tracks yesterday I hadnt mastered yet and ran into a problem with the A to B parts of the Nordschleife, specifically the Karussell part and another one - the Nürburg part, I think it is, cant remember now.

When you hit the last curve in those races, the finish line arrives before the evaluation of the curves is done. In my last try at the Karussell I am sure I nailed it, did it exactly like when I mastered the curve at the complete version of the Nordschleife. Yet, afterwards it still showed on the map that I hadnt mastered the Karussell.

So... anybody already succeeded in this? Or is it a bug? Would be shame cause then the mastering tracks trophies would be impossible to get... :grumpy:

I've mastered it. You probably werent quite
Quick enough. Some corners you can crawl through, others you have to barrel around like a rocket....

no it's the karrussel.. those who played shift 1 know how hard is master it. In shift 1 it took me like 50 attempts. No kidding, was a nightmare.

sometimes it helps to get a different car. i'm not sure how it is calculated, but if you take a slower audi s3 for example, it's much easier to keep that on the edge of grip while following the driving line than many other cars. i think you need to drive at a decent speed relative to car performance on some corners to pass.

Yeah, the Karussel (how the eff do you spell that?) is a nightmare to master. It's bloody hard to get right in the first place, although it seems to be easier in Shift 2. And even then it's hit and miss whether you get the angles and speeds just right, and whether your driver has enough empty Pokeballs on him, and whether the moon is aligned just right in Sirius. I was shocked the other day when I randomly pulled it off in a race without even trying.

It's a complete crapshoot whether you get it or not. I'll be leaving that one until the absolute last when I come to doing what you're doing.

P.S. I counted 136 of those track mastering badges today. 136! That's huge, even though half of them are doubles of night/day tracks. The more you know...

+1 for trying different cars. I had the same issue on S1 and I found that switching to a slower car that is good at keeping it's rear from stepping out is the best solution. Oh, and give it suspension and tires but not power (maybe a body kit for downforce). Bunch of trial and error really.

So you guys tell me that you mastered those last curves in those particular races (Nordschleife Karussell, Nordschleife... Nürburg?), that arent finished calculating before the race is over?

Or did you just master the Karussell in general? Like I wrote, I managed to do that too, that not what I was asking...

I just did the nordschliefe endurance race. I mastered 29 corners (including the karousel, yay me!) And 100% of the best line. Im usin a DS3 so its definately possible. Was using a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup R.

Edit, NVM misread your post. I think its a bug, i noticed it too.

Have you tried using a stock Golf MKI? My logic is:

Since the game needs a few seconds to calculate if you've "mastered" a corner, using the slowest car possible will maximize the time between completing the corner and reaching the finish line.

I've mastered all corners on Nordschleife night/dusk and 34/37 on day. If you pay close attention to the top, the notifications under the XP bar, you'll see that right before the screen dims out, it does show "corner mastered" if you master it. I did it using fast cars so using a Golf won't help you. It's a pain in the a** though. Hate that track.

@ orimarc: Thats what I did, stock Golf MK I with a racing suspension and Race tires... sooo slow but ultimate handling! :sly:

I m gonna try again later, using the driving clean but reeeeeaaaaaally slow trick. Lets see what happens then.

Ok nevermind the original topic of this thread.

It is possible to master the nordschleife parts, the game just stops calculating the last curves in time if you master them. If not, you finish before the result of the last curve is shown.
