Does MCR have a website?

Nope, nothing at all... I spent hours searching on Google, came up with nothing.

AFAIK, they touch to just about everything... I've got an old Best Motoring vid with a bunch of R33 GT-Rs racing around Tsukuba, and they had a car in the bunch (the same one shown in the Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero documentary, in the special feature section), and they've built an S2000 as well.

Max Speed: 210 km/h

That seems abnormally low... :odd:

Oh, there's plenty of tiny pictures, but no bigguns.

WHAT?? you are complaining about big pics of tuned japanese cars being scarce???? LOL!!! no no my friend... try to find good, decent size pictures of HOT RODS. that is HELL. believe me. if you find, they are off a crappy digicam that, at a 2800 pixel resolution, looks worse than a 460. its annoying.
but well, I was also disapointed by the low HP rating and low top speed. its not THAT monstruous! :odd:

Cano

bleh, cool car indeed.

It means maximum speed (130mph) reached on a lap on a twisty expressway, at night in traffic. Not a balls out single run on a straight, carless road. Does it seem so low now? ;)

This was just one run that was on the telemetry in the magazine. I couldn't tell you if it was the fastest run or the slowest run or what.

I have a video of the MCR R34 in the photos up against about eight other GT-Rs at FISCO (Fuji Speedway) and it gets creamed by two or three big gun GT-Rs, namely the ATTKD R34 and the Top Secret Fusion-R and comes in fourth.

I've got a picture of the 'circuit' plan. I'll post it later.

Is 680ps really low for a road racer, Cano?

nah, I read bad. I tought the torque numbers were the hp numbers. but I tought it would have more. and I want that video. where can I find it? I WANT it! NOW! ¬¬

Cano

I want the video too! if you can rip it I can host it on my friends server, you can file transfer it to me if you want to! or I can make a upload page...anyway tell me if you can get me that vid!!!!!!!

That torque does sound quite low.

I am suprised if that's the fastest GTR in Tokyo.

850bhp out a Skyline is not that hard, and heavily modded ones can do a 1000bhp.

Yeah, the torque figure's wrong.

Of course it's not the FASTEST GT-R in Tokyo. It was the QUICKEST around the particular 'circuit' that they TTed it on.

Anyway, t's not all about horsepower. It's not going to be easy to access the full 1000ps on a public road. How many horsepower does the average WRC car have, 300 is it? At the end of the day it's horses for courses (I wonder if that's where the expression comes from?) ;)

The Matchless Crowd Racing GT-R is one of the fastest, and certainly the best, Skyline in the world. All of their cars are red, the chassis has been completely seam-welded, engine fully built in the exact same temperature and pressure as the Nissan cleanroom, everything on the underbelly is upgraded, titanium intercooler piping, and more. A nice touch is the old-school GT-R badge from the '60s GT-R. Found that info in Sport Compact Car.

I found a video of four tuned Skylines in a track battle, and MCR has one of their cars entered.

It places 3rd with a poor driver, and being WAY underpowered. Tsuchiya placed 1st with a 600hp R34.

Mind hosting it for downloads? ;)

well do us a favor and upload it to a quicker server so we can all see without having to wait 7 hours to DL a 2 min clip.

Matchless Crowd Racing does not hire professional racers to drive their cars. The owner drives the cars himself. He an experienced driver, but not even close to the same level as Tsuchiya. For this car to do as well as it does on the track battles is a testament to their tuning skills, anybody can hire a pro-driver to drive the piss out of it and win.

Ya, I just found it by searching for"Matchless Crowd Racing" on Google, I was hoping Chaser_fan would find it again so I could ask him to e-mail the pics.

chaser_fan is still a regular on this forum, I'm sure you would get a quick responce if you PM him.

Ok u hooligans... I idolize Shinichi Kobayashi the leader/CEO of MatchlessCrowdRacing so I prolly know alot more then most people.... First off the red GTR is definately not a ricer.... If u have ever been to Japan and have talked to any of the "street racers" he is a living legend.... He conquered all of Japans highways in his bright red GTR... every racer on the Shutokou worships him.... (shutokou-highway) He then took it took all of the kaido passes and took those by storm... (kaido-mountain pass) Most would say it is damn near impossible for a AWD GTR to beat every single racer on a mountain pass... But Shinichi is no ordinary racer... He used to prowl the highways in a old school toyota startlet and then he began talking to proffesional rally drivers who drove AWD cars... This inspired him and he soon purchased his famed 1999 Nissan Skyline GTR in red color.... Since then he took over Japans street racing scene and is a legend that wont be forgotten anytime soon..... He has retired himself and his team from the C1 outer loop as he used to run daily and now focuses on Tsukuba circuit.... He can lap the circuit in a monstrous 59 seconds... The stripped down GT500 cars cant even do that... He also has a full interior and sound system in the famed red GTR which is proof he is Japans fastest racer.... Now dont get me wrong... He hasnt fully retired from illegal street racing.... He still occasionally runs the C1 outer loop thats y his name is still well remembered and always will be... Shinichi "Golgo" Kobayashi the living legend focuses on his company rather then his team but I will share his website with u guys, his official company website is www.mcr-ltd.com please check it out if ur interested in this legendary japanese figure....
