Maya wireframe 2016 batch render

Hey

for uni I have to have 2 turntable renders, one textured, one gray wireframe, never done wireframe before but I got it kinda working, if I do a single render on any of the 100 frames, its fine, if I batch render the wireframe shows on frame one, but none of the others, just a plane gray model, any ideas?

using Maya 2016 and followed this

but I found a fix for my exact problem, ill share here encase anyone else has this problem
