Mayor Bloombergs SMOKING BAN

bored of pre-made avatars. So I took a picture of Utada Hikaru (a japanese pop artist) and made a avatar. She is not naked either I posted a pic on the third page. Also she is over 20!

Perhaps you should go after one of the six thousand threads that are off-topic in our forums, rather than pick on one which is temporarily off-topic that had a clear purpose as recently as eight posts ago.

I made an on-topic post which nobody replied to, as did askia47. Maybe there aren't any replies in this thread because there's nothing left to say, in which case you should go around closing the 20,000+ dead threads on the GTP then do this one. Only fair.

While it is up to bar owners to chose if they want smoking or not in their establishments, I think people have been complaining to much about the smoke in bars, and it ruining their health when they go their so the city put a ban on the smoking in bars, in IMO.
Um, well, yes. That is the exact and only reason why they banned it. If it wasn't hazardous to your health, nobody would give a damn. Duh?

Thank you for bring it back on track. I would love to see smoke free clubs, but not at the expense of giving up personal rights of others.

RER, I'm shocked. That wasn't very PC of you.

Your right,... but when someone says that me and my whole family need to be shot twice in the head,... they loose there right to the do unto others rule.

On-topic:
I heared on NPR that a lot of non-smokers are disapointted with the effects of the law. They say that in the bars that arent full of smoke anymore,.... you now smell B.O. and puke from the night before, instead of just smoke. Interesting that the non-smokers have formed somwhat of a negative response to the law.

Am I the only one pissed off about NYC Mayor Bloomberg forcing a smoking ban on all bars and restaurants in NYC and the state of New York? This is a violation of individual rights and the rights of business owners to run their business as they see fit! This is ridiculous, if you want check out my bash Bloomberg site at www.BlameBloomberg.com. This law will be overturned!!

You're mad that you can't publically harm and waste away at your body? I'm sorry but, you are a dumb mother****er. I mean, you actually want to sit around and harm yourself? I know that a lot of people smoke but most of those people now are 20-50 year olds who are quitting now because they are just learning of the harms unlike when they were kids they couldn't have known better unlike this generation.

Actually, you are, too. But for different reasons. I'll tell you just how if you like.

Well I'd certainly like to hear, but I'm not him so I'm unsure of if my vote counts.
