Remember, before going on track, check car settings.

If you cannot find lobby, add me as a PSN friend and then look, but it is public.

To anyone who hasn't made it yet, there are 20 minutes left before the qualifier begins, hurry and join.

Nevermind... My PS froze before I could join 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I almost broke my rig in 2... :(:(:( Sorry guys...

Great race guys!

Wanna guess who won? :dopey:
I wonder....
Doodlemonopoly is hereby declared the King of apricots, After a long 100 miles, Doodle came to victory a full minute ahead of the opposition, everybody raced liked champions but he came out the victor today.

Congrats to everyone.
Doodle, just doodle. We have to have a restrictor plate on that man!
Even with a restrictor plate, doodle can't be slowed down. He's magic.

 Thanks guys. It was great fun. I happened to get a personal best lap for myself on lap 8, 1:25.038! I think I ran a bunch of other 25.0s as well, so quite good pace by me. Maybe I could've gained a few seconds if I pitted a few laps later? 💡

My Race Report

Qualifying went well, my all time best lap perhaps only 2 tenths quicker than the 1:26.4xx I managed. Having not really raced online on gt6 yet I was amazed to see I was 4th on the grid! Whoopee!

My only gripe with 'race alone' is the blind spot indicators going crazy, thinking all the cars are next to you when there not!

It's fair to say waiting for the race to start my heart was pounding! It took perhaps 3-4 laps to really settle, nothing like 9 hungry racers to focus the mind!

I managed to hold my position on the opening lap (which was very clean) and for the next few laps watched the battle between matheus and amadcomeback, their fighting allowing me to keep in touch, on lap 8 (I think?) matheus came off at the last chicane and dropped to around 7th or 8th, I was now in 3rd! Now freed, amadcomeback slowly pulled away infront lap by lap, my concern now becoming fryto from behind, I was conscious my lap times were falling and he was gaining.

Before he caught me I made the decision to pit (thinking a battle would slow me down further), so I pitted on lap 29 (I think!) earlier than the people around me! I came out just infront of bigtexlfan, I naively took my usual wide line into the hairpin at the end of the back straight and he nipped in the inside, compromising my exit, on the backfoot, I made a half spin exiting the final chicane later that lap (further loosing time), before bigtexlfan pitted and I was freed - all in all my pit stop phase was poor.

The final phase of my race was spent trying to catch fryto who had undercut me pitting some laps later, I knew what to expect from the tyres after pitting (glitch wise) and felt pretty racey, I just ran out of laps! One or two more laps I recon, and I would have had 3rd! Or at least I hope I would! I finished just 1.5 secs off the podium spot!

For just my 2nd GTP race (the first being on gt5 2 years ago) I was really happy with the result, holding my own with 'you pro's'. I noticed everyone else was racing manual transmission too, which sadly I have never been able to master - I watch my line I miss the gear, I watch the gear I miss my line! Hopefully it's something I can develop in the future.

Big thanks to @Brutaka on this fab race, hopefully more events will follow! It's just nice to race with like minded people who are passionate about good quality, clean racing.

Thanks a lot guys.

I'd do a race report, but I'm away from home now for some time and want to see the replay :nervous:. But it was a great race, very clean and can't wait to do more events like this . Also maybe next time we can try and figure out that night pit glitch I think it was and run one though the dark! :gtpflag: And it was a fun first GTP race for me!
