For the premium version of this car I made a tune specificly for the Tsukuba circuit as I did the Endurance race few days back.
Thought I'd share my setup and tune as in my opinion it drives so ffing fantastic now, hint of oversteer on demand when on brakes, turn in or throttle and it is planted like no tomorrow.

Regarding upgrades I have installed every single one, 1 option I leave open to people and that is to run with or without Stage3 Turbo. You can leave it NA and it is still a blast but with Turbo it just goes and goes and there is no lag.
I enjoyed both ways and I enjoyed those 4 hours so much this car is now one of my favs with which I go to the Ring often as well lol :)

Offcourse use NO, NADA, 0, Noppes, ZILCH, NO driving aids at all or this tune is useless :)

So upgrades you will need to purchase and install:
Dealer
- The car: Mazda Roadster RS (NC) '07
- Specs after upgrades:
1998 CC engine - FR drive
357 Bhp at 7400 rpm
339Nm at 7400 rpm
Weight: 931Kg

GT Auto
- Oil Change
- Front - Type B
- Spoiler -Type A
- Alloys and colour you want :)

Tuningshop
- I'll keep this simple...EVERY UPGRADE possible, just make sure you get RACE SOFT tyres ! They last as long as hards and they keep giving you grip unlike the Hards which tend to fall of real quick.

The Tune from top to bottom in garage:
- Rear Downforce: 10
- Gear Ratio: 250Kph max ( For Tsukuba, for the ring you can go to 300'isch )
- Turbo: Choose to go with a stage 3 or stay NA, personal preference here.
- LSD: Start 18 / Accel 42 / Brake 20
- Suspension:
Drive height: Front and Rear at -20mm
Springs: Front 7.8 - rear 6.8
Shocks: Out: Front 2 and Rear 5
Compres: Front 3 and Rear 5
Stabilizors: Front 3 and Rear 7
Camber: Front 2.6 and Rear 1.2
Toe: -0.10 Front and Rear 0.00
- Brakes: Front 7 and Rear 3 ( Can go with 4 but when hard on brakes the higher brakeforce you set on the rear the more it tens to vanish under your but ? ) :)
- Tyres: Race Softs

Any comments welcome, if you think you can improve this tune please be my guest and let us now !

Cheers

would like to see my tune vs yours.... ill compare them around trial mt, already done a 1:30.5xx around there today

I did this endurance last night before you posted your tune, had bought everything for it 352 hp i got and lowered to -20 -20. Managed to win by 15 laps. I applied your tune to the car today and the b-squad is racing it now so we'll see how it goes

This video is using my setup:

Try and beat with yours?

By the way, my set up doesnt use aerodynamic parts because it kind of ruins the point of an MX-5

I'd also like to compare mine vs. yours. What are you running around Tsubuka with this tune?

Will have a go with it tomorrow after work and sleep and see what differences I can spot and what laptimes I can put in with either set.

i applied your tune today, it improves my best lap time, nice tune!

Cheers ! In the end setups are personal but glad if some people find it usefull and can improve with it.

Just tried to beat my PB on Tsukuba with the Roadster which was 56.1 and got it down to 55.952. Still very little room for more and might be able to get wee bit more turn in but that would require extreme camber and toe angles.

Just had a nightshift so not the best state of mind but lets try Trial mountain :)

@ TeamLotus GT5:

Just done 5 laps Trial Mountain and surely the setup I made for Tsukuba is NOT that great for Trial mountain. Requires way softer suspension settings.
Managed a 1.28.6 and thats 1 crap lap lol 👎

Will have to tweak setup and practice to improve but think 25's or 26's are possible ?

Noticed you run a supercharger setup though and I use a turbo so I make bit more horsepower.

Thank you for the setup ! I have tried this event but after 48 minutes I accidentally pressed restart (wanted to change my HUD)... So I decided to run it again some time.
I will try your setup and post my results. Cheers !

Thank you. Applied this to my MX, worked out wonderfully for Bob in NR-A Race. Now to test it in Tsukuba. Maybe tomorrow/two days after. :) Great job

Meh... Do you run aero parts too?

I don't, maybe a contributing factor too? :)

A bit. The car can be made much more stable given rear downforce (front aero has no effect) while still having admirable low-speed cornering.

Without it, you get one or the other... And even without it I managed a 1:29.5 on a poor lap as I said in another thread so...

Ahhhh I'm not the only one lol, but I was about 3 hours in :ouch:

How many laps every one get in? I wasn't fully tuned didn't have the cash at the time and I did 215 laps what are you guys running in your set ups?

i keep accidentally resetting this event. i ****ing quick. **** this game. i cant believe they dont have confirmation upon exit or restart! such BAD programming! yes , user error - i know, but also bad programming. ****.

Thanks for this set up, I bought this car for the early roadster race and so decided to fully tune it for the 4h endurance. Without touching the settings it was an absolute dog to drive, it just understeered for England (or should that be Japan?) and was generally disgusting to drive. I played around with the suspension and LSD but couldn't get good results, I thought it might have been because I'd just done 60 laps of Grand Valley in the X2010 and everything feels like an oil tanker with a dead propeller after that. Your tune has made me very happy, it drifts just the right amount now. Cheers buddy.

Edit: I noticed it wasn't getting near 250kph (150mph) so reduced the maximum speed on the transmission to 130mph so it just hits the limiter at the braking point of the main straight, this has reduced my lap times from around 58 to 56.5 secs. Thought I should mention it.

Nice lap time! I didn't think under 59 was possible I'll have to do some adjustments.

I run the supercharger instead of the high rev turbo.
Gives less overall bhp but gives more power throught more of the power band.

I run about 30 laps using your set up getting mid-low 57's fairly easily, car like to dive in a little too much for me though.
I increased the front dampers to 5 and both rear to 6, gives a more stable feel going into the corners I find.
Started to run high-mid 56's now, and like someone mentioned i'd drop the top speed to 130mph.

I'm definitely going to give this a try. I bought this car for one of the seasonal events and it was very unrealistic in stock form. It's a rwd car with a short wheel base. Even though it doesn't have a lot of power I should have been able to kick out the rear end while turning under WOT. I'll mod it up and try this tune to see if it behaves more like a Miata should.

Great tune!! I tweaked it a bit for a little more turn in and oversteer, Best time at Tsukuba was 56.1

Height: Front -20 Rear -15

Camber: Front 2.6 Rear .2

I would also love to compare ours, mine was ALSO tuned for Tsukuba ;)

Tbh I do love this car, but it does understeer a bit so I've made my own STREET LEGAL tune for it, the first tune I've ever done! XD

This tune worked great for the Seasonal Event. Can't wait to try it on the 4h Endurance Race tomorrow... Well, actually I can wait, but I have to do it eventually. Might as well kill 4 hours before I grind b-spec during the SuperBowl.
