I know there are plenty of RX-7s in the game, but there is not one first gen available!

Stock trim preferred...

But road racing spec would be nice too...

I have owned three Rx7s (two first gens and a second gen), an Rx8, and I have had quite a bit of experience with third gen Rx7s as well. The first generation has always been, and will always be my favorite of the rotary powered cars I've had experience with. Every year that a Gran Turismo game comes out I wait anxiously, patiently, and hopefully that another SA/FB will be included, preferably the 12A Turbo model, but alas I cannot have any such luck. Forza Motorsports 4 added a GSL-SE model (13B powered) as DLC, and I utilized it for every race I could from the lowest class to A Class in that game. I want to do the same in GT6 (even if I am over 90% completed and have no regular internet access.)

One of Mazda's best selling cars of all time, and the predecessor to the FC3S RX-7, and FD3S RX-7. The car that started the rotary revolution, and hooked many enthusiasts in North America with it's high revving engine, classic sports car styling, and great handling chassis, all for a low entry cost, and helped put Mazda on the map as a fun-loving enthusiast oriented brand.

Wiki Article:

Production Years: 78'-85'
Original Specs:
12A Rotary Carbureted, 100 HP, 1,000 Kgs
Noteworthy Related Models:
GSL-SE (84'-85' first debut of the 135 HP 13B power plant with fuel injection, with a Limited Slip)
Savanna Turbo (83'-84' with a 165hp 12A turbocharged powerplant)

Would make an excellent addition since it's feature in GT2.

This needs to be add to gt6 along with thr r100 rx2 rx3 4 5 6
Well more rotarys fullstop

It's at the top of the page where it is on every other website. Default is to search current forum.

The turbo wasn't offered until '84 and was JDM only. I'll take it though, as long as its the 1st gen body style.

I have owned four of Them and dont owen one now. It would depress me to have to drive It
virtualy.
And you felt the need to post this why? I'm hoping because you miss the car, not because you are hating.

That car is just beautiful!!!... it even has the front license plate with the model name ready for GT6...lol

GTP needs to unhide the search function

Right at the top of every page (and I mean all of them) and below the social media icons, next to the tabs is a little box that says "search" on it.

need to keep bumping these to the front page so they get seen and get more likes.
Obviously a popular car, I'd much rather see this than a lot of the other obscure random cars.

plus, the other thread just says '79 model. '78-'85 is more like it!

"Bumping" a suggestion, or adding a comment to its thread for the sole purpose of bringing it to the top of the suggestion forum, is prohibited. New comments must add some form of value (more pictures, videos, information, etc.) or be relevant to the ongoing discussion.

;)

This also is why my nomination hasn't had a new post in it for a while now.

This model RX-7 was (and still is) very popular in the modifying and tuning market in real life. And the essence of what Gran Turismo was about right from the start, was upgrading and tuning cars, not just race cars, but street cars you can see on the road everyday. It was really the first game to ever do that and included an enormous variety of performance street cars.
By leaving out the above RX-7, the game is missing a key element which made it successful from the start.

I'm for this as long as we get that race car! Also, I want the Group B one, both there either is or should be a thread for that one.
