There are so many different types of Mazda RX-7 that i dont know what to chose. I bought one from the showroom for a mil, that would be the GT C LM Edition and the Ameyameiyiaimaiya. Other thant those two which is the best RX-7?

IMO, My next best choice of RX-7 is the 96' RX-7 A-Spec. In close third, it's the RX-7 GT-C road car. The RX-7 A-Spec has moderate understeer, unlike the 99' RX-7 RS . I'm not sure on powerlimits, but I've been victorious in every race that I've been in when driving those cars.

I think the best one is any of the LM models, that's why they're so expensive... :P

To find the best it's a bit complicated... because there's a good amount of them with similar performances, i think you should try them all and pick the one that matches your driving, because they have slightly different handlings...

Here's some references of the non-special models:
RX-7 GT-C - the most powerful RX-7, no race mod tho
98' RX-7 Type RS - most powerful RX-7 with race mod
96' RX-7 A-Spec - I agree with Smoke, this one is great, a must try.
97' RX-7 Type RZ - It's a rare RX-7 with better power/weight ratio than the 96' A-Spec but a sharper handling...

I like alot of the Amemiya RX-7, despite the low power it's very fast when cornering, good for twisted tracks. I have alot of fun driving it :)

I would say the LM edition. its a sweet ride.Sure, the Re Amemiya is a cool RX-7, but for catching the vipers and vettes, I recommend the LM race car.

Sure, i also get a LM when i want top performance. The Amemiya is just for fun, i like the handling and look of it :)
When i want a more customized ride i get one of the others i've posted above.

I beat a GT-One with that car! It's a fun challenge 👍

The RX-7 GT-C is the best one in my opinion. With 682(?)hp at about 25xx pounds, it makes for some fun times. You can also take it up against most anything and have a good chance of coming out on top. Another great, high powered RWD car. 👍

That's why they call you Smoke_u_/24-7 ha ha.

I haven't really driven RX-7s too much in GT2...just the '83 car, the '90 Enfini III, and the Cabriolet in the convertible races. I guess I just get too caught up in other cars, but I'll eventually get around to RX-7 obsession, too.

What about the NSX!?

I know that feeling too, but after playing with so many cars and for so long i think i've finally found one to put on top of my list... Toyota MR2. The more i play with it the more i like it... :D
Maybe you'll get there someday too, to a point where you'll find your trully favorite car.

I don't see how everyone has one favorite car(maybe its just me).the way I see it, I like different cars for different reasons and its not get enough to have just one.

Well... i have a favorite car but that doesn't mean i only use that car... i've made 8 garages just to have all cars in the game, some of them duplicated in different colors/race mod!
It just happens that i like more of driving that one than the others, because it's the one that better fits my driving style and preferences :)

I also love the Speed 12 sound, the GT-One acceleration, the Supra's tire spin and many others for different reasons...

Yeah, and the Skyline, or the GT-One's?
My addiction has been going on for over 5 years, but now I'm taking the cold turkey known as (a)-The Legend of Dragoon, and (b)-GT4 Screenshots. All it takes is some GT4 screenshots and a way more fun game. I'm very happy to say that ever since GT4 came out, this social-life threatening addiction has been cured. ;)

That's my name, don't wear it out! well... unless you say it about 10 tens times in a row.

There's a lot of RX-7s to serve different purposes, here's my favorites:

RX-7 GT-C LM (the blue Special)
- Because it's one of the best handling FR racing cars in the game. Very quick, and very responsive.

RX-7 Amameiya (the yellow special)
- Will dominate the GT300 series (if you've got average skill), and will prove a good match against the GT500/All-stars (if you're competent).

RX-7 Type R '98 (new car)
- Fully tuned, it has 610hp, the race mod looks cool, and even though it understeers, it won't oversteer with all that power. Just a great all-round FR car to get you through a good bit of the game. I think the Tyre RS '98 is a little too twitchy, and the Type RB '98 is just a little too soft.

RX-7 Inifini III '90 (FC, used car lot)
- The most popular, and in my opinion, the best GT2 starter car (under 10k). Not too overpowered, not too heavy, handles great, and yes...dirt tires are available! You'd be surprised how well this car will perform in the rally races, when fully tuned; it's also a good way to experience FR car control. Score 10k per race in the RX-7 meeting, and run this car in the GT300 series when you're tuned and ready for some competition.

RX-7 GT Turbo '83 (FB, used car lot, kind of rare)
- Not a lot of power at first, and it's not the easiest car to handle until you tune it, but once fully tuned, it's got 420+hp and weighs just about 2000 lbs. Use it for the '80s races and try your hand at something different.

I think it was around the time that I first discovered the '83 RX-7 that I really got obsessed with GT2. It was like man, I expected RX-7s to be in the game but not THIS old one! And then it kicks major ass, too...it's not just a novelty like the Aston Martin DB6. I did a ton of B and A and even some IC license races in this old machine.

Yeah, we hear you man. Just keep a pack of cigarettes and coffee handy, they'll help when your Crac Turismo cravings get out of hand.
