Mazda Rx-8

Is it true that there is going to be a convertible mazda rx-8? I heard a rumor that mazda was working on one, but im not sure yet.
If they brought it out, it would be a good competitor for the 350Z Roadster (I prefer the rx-8 anyway)
But please tell me if you know of a convertible rx-8

I took a look at the Mazda site and did some searches and no, they don't make a convertible for the new RX-8.
