It's amazing how the road car looks really ugly yet this looks pretty good.

This looks so much better than the road-going version.

I always see this one guy driving a black 650S around my town. It's alright, but I don't really care for it too much. The GT3, however. Wow. It's stunning, to say the least!

Anyway, when the 650S was unveiled, I was confused because I couldn't tell if it was trying to be a P1, 12C, or both.

McLaren 650S vs Lamborghini Aventador drag race

The start of the race is causing a stir, but I still reckon the 650S would have won on a second run.

It did, but the aventador took even longer to react and go after it went green.

You know, this seems to be a big problem with these supercar drag races. The owners don't know how to drive these properly. Get two heavily trained professionals to test them head-to-head, not some owner that has more money than skill.

I'm still not sure whether time started counting at GREEN or if the cars had to cross a plane to trigger the stopwatch.

Either way, the race wasn't good. McLaren driver jumped the gun, Lamborghini driver was asleep.

Very cool, subtle way to pay tribute to one of the best road/race cars, ever.

That is a really neat way to honour the F1.

Just a shame they didn't give it circular LED tail lights.

I want, so long as one all-important question is answered:

Is the snorkel functional?

It has only two differences compared to the other recent McLaren models:

1 - It has a special version
2 - The performance, at least IMO, bring us back to the F1 days.

Overall, it's a very good car. Not surprising, since McLaren is so prolific.
