Hey guys, my name is Matt and I would like to learn how to tune and race circuits. I consider myself among the elite in 1/4 mile drag racing but that is exceptionally boring and I thought, why not use GT5 for why I bought it.. TO RACE CARS!!! So this is where you step in.. I am very willing to learn how to counteract under/over-steer and fix up any tendencies the car has. In return I can tune one of your dearly beloveds to race down the 1/4 in speeds only imaginable :)
Hit me up on here or PSN which is Simple-Matt.

Unlike drag racing, you can pretty much learn the ropes without much of a mentor. It's just applying the stuff in the textbooks, if you like. This should be a good place to start.

Also, once you get the hang of things, go here, read the red bits underneath the tune list in the first post. Alright, it's only on the LSD, but it does help and is largely accurate, from my experience with what has been said in that post. 👍

Thanks Onboy :) I shall begin my night reading :)

No problems. 👍 And if you want more insight/help in tuning, asking some of the tuners here for their methods of tuning would be good. Unlike drag racing, heads don't get separated from bodies if you ask these questions.

Matt - I give free advice all the time in my tuning garage or through PMs. Try any of my tunes then come back and tell me how the car is behaving for you in three sections of the corners.

Braking and corner entry down to apex. Loose, push, any red tires.

Mid-corner. Loose, push or rolls perfectly around the apex hugging the inside of the corner.

Throttle application through corner exit. Loose, push, any red tires.

hmm... mentor, you say?!
well, like Hami, i give free advice in my garage and through PM's as well... but i would really like a 1/4 mile tune for one of my babies... am i qualified to mentor thee?
