I've just got 5 million credits. Just wondering if i should spend 4.5 mill on a Nissan R390 or play the DTM Championship.

Win the CLK, win it again and sell the second one. Then buy the R390. You can buy a R390 road car for 1 million, and then give it a big turbo, but it would probably still suck against the race car.

I've been having some trouble choosing between the two.

The Mercedes is faster, but its more of a handful, and some people get that constant "scare factor" when driving on twisty roads.

The Nissan is a much smoother running car that most beginning players can use. This also leads to a faster lap.

The Panoz is out of the question, its barely faster than the Mclaren.

As I remember it, if you also remember to do the transmission, tires and downforce, the difference is negligible.

Get both. Do and repeat the DTM championship, sell the CLK-GTRs (keep one if you want), then buy the R390-GT1, blue or the black one.

Btw i have 8 million:sly:. I think it's a low number:ouch:.

I've had over 16 million on my 92.7% game that got corrupted.

And after realizing you don't want an LMP, I say win the CLK and get something nice with the money.

& million isn't that impressive. What would be is the amount of ASpec pts you've earned. Money can be had rather easily. The pts. you've got to work for.

More down to personal preference, I think. The R390 sounds nicer but it has that hideous blue livery. If the red/black livery or the green livery had been included, the R390 would be the choice for me but I usually go with the sexy Merc.

The R390 is the faster of the two...just. For 4.5 million there are much better cars out there you could buy. As a rule I avoid buying cars you can win, so I would probably recommend a Pescarolo or the 787b (not sure if you can win that or not).

Depends on what events you are looking to race in the given cars.

Personaly, I would save your credits and hold out for the black R390 that pops up in the used car lot. That would be my choice of car. You can buy that, refresh the frame and still come out ahead in credits.

As far as the Mercedes Clk-Gtr. Run the race and run the car at your leasure. Or sell it for a few more credits.

Man, DO NOT SPEND YOUR CASH ON A NISSAN R390 RACE CAR, buy a Mazda 787B, or Toyota GT-one

I was going to challenge myself to see if i could win the infineon endurance challenge with either of the two. After this poll ends in a month, i will find a suitable set up for the car that wins.

I bought an Audi R8 for my first LMP car. Best decision i ever made.

My advice is win the El Capitan endurance and get the Toyota 88cv.

My first overly expensive race car was a BMW V12 Lm-r. I also bought the stage 3(or whatever was the lowest option for that car)turbo and Rsh/Rh tires. it pwnd everyone in the straights, endurance, and handling!

Umm, ok, no probs. So i'd recommend the CLK-GTR, I have it and it's a cool car to drive, nice handling!

Amen to that. Audi R8 is one of the fastest AI you will race against. As for your original question. Not a big fan of CLK GTR Race Car. Go for a Nissan.

I must've not read the original post when i wrote that :dopey:

I think the CLK GTR, whilst fun to drive, is not a match for the R390 i don't think.

The black R390 is always a good bet.

Also, i think the R390 is awesome looking. I'm also thinking how the Zonda R in real life looks like the lovechild of the R390 and a Ferrari Fxx
