How to start this thread.....lets see:
I'm currently only about four hours into this game. It is every thing that I would have expected it to be with a few surprises. Here a few things that I have noticed and enjoyed so far.
- The game play is outstanding. It really sucks you in, there's no such thing as a quick fix when playing this. It will engross you in a environment of secret covert ops that even makes you aware that your breathing is too loud.
- The controls are kind of cumbersome to navigate though the game at first. They do have merit once you get used to the controls.
- The Story line, so far, has picked up rather nicely from the first MGS, there's even some comical reference to Raven on the second level.
- The physics engine seems to be pretty good with environmental effects on the character and items. Dragging people around are annoyingly slow, which is realistic considering. Dragging people down stairs proves to be easier reflecting and increase of speed. Dragging people "up" stairs should reflect and even slower dragging response, but proves to be a slight bug in the physics engine reflecting just as fast of a drag as if you were dragging him down stairs. Head band, rain, wind, water puddles, body parts all add to the realism of the game.
- The graphics . . . . . . . . . . . . . .are as clean as I had hoped for.
- The greatest surprise so far was when I was able to stuff a body into a locker! I have been saying for years that game developers need to enable this feature where it could be applied. Some has finally done it. It sounds little, but I have been scrutinizing games for little details such as this for years. Looking for the logical scenario that needs to be created.
I will try to post some screen shots as I have them and progress though the game.
