Michelin Becomes Official Tire Supplier and Technical Partner of GT Sport

Wonder how the tyre physics will work with suspension physics. In the pic below, my car defaults to RS compund. All I've done extra, is lower the suspension to minimum ride height.

The historic cars have much larger sidewalls than modern tyres. Hence, all that lovely flex when cornering. Still, half the possible changes in car behavior, will still be missing due to PD not implementing track surface data(as per the latest gtplanet interview with Kaz).

I'd also like to know who they are partnering with, if at all, for suspension physics.

Just so you know, visual flex =/= flex simulated by physics engine. In GT at least, I don't believe flex and sidewall height is taken into account at all. Easy way to test just fit rims with different sizes and drive on track without changing any other settings. The handling is practically the same.

Again, until I see at least basic tyre pressure adjustments in the next game I won't believe all this partnership is anything more than just marketing fluff.

I know this. i'm just guessing what could be. I don't know what's in the works. Could be marketing, could be this is more than marketing. We'll see.
