"People who have been looking forward to GT5 since soon after GT4 hit the shelves were sure to be slightly disappointed by today's news that the title wasn't going to land in Japan until March 2010.

This caused sympathetic forum members around the world to come alive with comments like "they're probably working on enhancing the damage modeling" and "it's better released when it's ready" and various other comments, but obviously at some point fanboys tried to get involved and comparisons to Forza 3 were made including this seemingly innocuous post over on NeoGAF highlighting the difference in release schedules between GT and the Forza series."

This poster seemed to have a little more then fanboy banter up their sleeve.

It's because deep down they all know Forza 3 is still just filler till GT5 and thats just it

This means as much as any other troll in the Internet, unless he was payed to do it, which we have no proof he was. Otherwise, he was stating his opinion, which I fully agree with, regardless of the fact if it was Forza or any other game. 👍

Is this what we have become? Posting things like these to make Microsoft look bad just because one of his employees gave his opinion, and in turn looking bad at Forza?

The only thing that makes me thing he could have been payed for doing so is because he praised Bill Gates, but praising a console and a game means nothing. We see it here all the time.

In my eyes that's it. It probably wouldn't even catch anyone's attention if the guy wasn't so "passionately mad". So it looks like it's a failed attempt on some pseudo virus-like marketing. Certainly uncool.

Appetizers are just fillers too, but never understimate taking too long to cook dinner, enough stuffed jalepenos and mini quiches and your fillet may just not be so appealing anymore.

I dont see how the Microsoft guy was trolling when what he said is the truth

Trolling isn't about right or wrong, it's about fronting and acting like something you're not, the average consumer, you have an agenda that you're masking with a false identity, what if he was MSGUY on the boards, wouldn't be a big surprise if hes dishing out prices for all the package deals on MS stuff right, but when hes masquerading as JOEBLOW69 or watever, then its trolling.

The exact same post is on the front page in the Japan March 2010 news item. I assume it is the same person. Microsoft has been known to astroturf in the past.

The posters here are just as stupid.

Fanboyism runs more rampant with GT5 than FM3.

I laughed at whoever said that FM3 is a 'filler' until GT5 comes out. :ouch:

The behavior of MODS on forzamotorsports.net calls you... less than truthful.

Look at GT Planet, hosting pop-up ads for Gears of WAH TOO and Halo ODST, and almost no fuss about it. I mean, seriously, some people can make some stuffs up.

I had a taste of some appetizer this morning and it is tasting mighty fine! This appatizer is going to be a lot better than the last appatizer so I have a feeling a lot of people will be enjoying it. So much so that they may not have any room left for the main course.

Firstly, I doubt TT even belongs in that list and secondly at this point GT PSP is nothing but a reverbed GT4 with some additions to it, and the devil. Prologue isn't a full game and I still can't wrap my head around why reviewers compared it to an entire title anyhow - it's like comparing a package of bananas to a crate of said bananas.

To those who say it's "no big deal" about what the MS employee said, or "it's just the truth" that's irrelevant. The fact of the matter is, the individual signed onto a 3rd party forum, made a less-than-polite statement degrading a competing company's product, and did so under the guise of anonymity. Once he decided to attach that Microsoft corporate email identity to his account, weather or not he was working alone or under orders, he became a declared entity of that corporation... and thus was in a conflict of interest.

The point is, there's more than just GT5 that they were working on. Turn 10 does Forza, that's IT. If PD only had to do GT4/GT5, it probably would've been out last year or sooner. Especially if Kaz didn't have to pull people off his team to work on the display and functions for the GT-R.
