Ok, I had thought of it. :lol:

I remember now when I wrote that, I kind of assumed all the testers would give separate DC for each direction, and was actually planning on scoring both at full value.
It was because I initially thought more testers would opt for driving a single direction rather than driving both. testing is funny like that, once you're knee-deep you don't mind adding more a lot of times. :)
If anything I think I will re-highlight it and go with that original plan. If a tester only want to give one DC rating, that's fine too. 👍
Sounds like a plan. 👍

We`ve done a few "two track" contests in GT6. So to regular testers its nothing new. The bonus is everybody gets more rounded tunes to use at the end of it. :)👍

Here are my results for the Mid-Field Supercar Shootout.

All cars tested for 10 laps using DS3 (x go, square brake, d-pad steer) and auto trans. All aids off except ABS1 and driving line, on Mid-Field raceway forward and reverse, at 12:00, with grip set to real.

Some great tunes provided here, and I think i'll be keeping them all. I'm looking foward to them all getting custom boxes when the bug is fixed.

Listed as per tuner post.

@doblocruiser
Forward - 1:12:101
Struggled to figure out the grip levels and you need to pick the right time to get on the power. Fun car to throw around once you did though.

Reverse - 1:14:000
Preferred this car on reverse. Seemed much easier to control, even the full drift induced by the crest at the 1st corner.

DC - 7

@DaBomm4
Forward - 1:12:400
Fun car to throw around, and quite drifty. Thought it coped well with the kerbs, but struggled with the bumps.

Reverse - 1:13:975
So much depends on you being able to control the rear. Again, fun to throww around the track. Good effort with this one.

DC - 7

@Brewguy44
Foward - 1:11:342
This car has bags of grip. Excellent on corner entry and easy to get the power down early. A little off throttle understeer if you enter too hot, but all round excellent job.

Reverse - 1:13:352
Again excellent grip, but maybe would have benefitted from being a bit looser on the reverse track. Less margin for error. Excellent over the crest once you figure out how to take it.

DC - 8.5

@TurnLeft
Forward - 1:10:241
Has lots of grip, but also has a tail that wants, and tries to step out. Well tuned out however, although takes some getting used to.

Reverse - 1:12:580
Do what you can in a straight line and it'll reward. Noticed brake release oversteer this way round. Good effort.

DC - 7.5

@xande1959
Forward - 1:10:273
Suffered with some understeer, understandable given the weight. Good effort.

Reverse - 1:12:759
Didn't notice the understeer so much this way round. Good under braking and through the corner with a little oversteer on exit if on the power too early.

DC - 7.5

@Motor City Hami
Forward - 1:11:202
Good solid tune with good turn in and rotation. Felt a little under powered after the Aston.

Reverse - 1:13:060
Good solid car this way round too. Does exactly waht you want it too. Well done.

DC - 8.5

@shaunm80
Forward - 1:10:356
Has excellent balance. Good turn in and rotation and easy to get power down.

Reverse - 1:12:333
Again shows good balance. Copes well with the crest. All round excellent car. Good effort.

DC - 9

@Bowtie-muscle
Forward - 1:09:760
Fantastic drive. Does exactly what you want it to, and does it fast. Good under braking and turn in, good through the corner and can get the power down with confidence.

Reverse - 1:11:889
A little less well behaved this way round. The car seemed to get upset by the bumps. Nailing the drift on the crest is mega important, look out for the smile though when you do!

DC - 9.5

@787bcgr
Forward - 1:10:503
Very stable tune that does exactly what you ask. Good turn in and roation with the expected understeer if you get too deep.

Reverse - 1:12:901
Well planted car that refused to drift over the crest. Noticed the understeer more this way round, especially the double left after the tunnel.

DC - 8

@Thorin Cain
Forward - 1:09:859
Well behaved and balanced tune. Good turn in and rotation and easy to get on the power. No noticeable understeer or issues with it's weight.

Reverse - 1:12:132
A different proposition this way round. Didn't cope overly well with the crest where I suffered some over rotation. Noticed some lift off oversteer too.

DC - 9

@Ridox2JZGTE
Forward - 1:11:641
Encountered some off throttle understeer taht affected my ability to post a quick time. Had good turn in but suffered mid corner. Easy to get the power down on exit.

Reverse - 1:12:998
A good lap time relies on a controllable drife caused by the crest. If you can nail that, it'll produce. Good turn in and decent mid corner this way round.

DC - 7.5

@DolHaus
Forward - 1:10:061
This car is all about the front end. If you can adjust to the responsiveness, it'll give good, consistent lap times. Front also liked to lock up under braking.

Reverse - 1:11:464
Found it easier to drive reverse. Front end was more controllable, but the crest hurt lap times. Very hard to get it right.

DC - 8.5

@brian wolf
Forward - 1:09:747
A bit looser that the other ZR1, but also a bit quicker. Good turn in and rotation with a hint of oversteer. Was 0.2 up on lap 7 until I messed up the corner before the last tunnel. Well done.

Reverse - 1:11:246
Once again loose is fast for me, but watch out, this car wants to be a drift-meister really.

DC - 9

@Otaliema
Forward - 1:10:507
Good stable car, easy to drive. Some slight push mid corner stopped me getting on the power earlier.

Reverse - 1:12:198
Same as forward really. Easy to handle over the crest. A bit looser would have suited me better.

DC - 8.5

thank you for driving it. I need some numbers from 01 to 60 for me to do un game mega sena or euro million. who knows. hit good money to buy this machine, or order a Aston Martin One 77 :D:odd:👍:cheers:

Mid-Field Supercar Shootout

Track settings: Time at 12:00. Grip set to real, ABS 1 all other aids off.

-All cars were given as long as it took to get what I felt was the best I could get out of them.
which was at least 10 laps in either direction. Most got more.
-All tunes were tested at Midfield, forward then reverse without changing tunes.
-All tunes tested with DFGT.
-All tunes tested as posted.

Testers Notes

I have given separate DC scores for each direction, to indicate whether I felt a tune was better in one
direction without having to describe it for every tune. :cheers:

@doblocruiser
Car: SRT Viper GTS '02
Lap Time (Forward) - 1:11.669 DC 6.5
Lap Time (Reverse) - 1:13.039 DC 7.5

Nicely balanced tune. But, the low ride height and high LSD accel setting meant that the kerbs had
to be avoided, making the track very narrow, hindering laptimes. Great brakes though, and just
raising the ride height would make it a lot quicker. Well done.

@DaBomm4
Car: Ferrari F40 '92
Lap Time (Forward) - 1:12.248 DC 7.5
Lap Time (Reverse) - 1:13.033 DC 7.5

I found this tune to be very stable mid-corner. But, getting to, and from mid-corner often
envolved a lot of swearing and opposite lock. But, not as difficult as I expected it to be.
You`re a brave man. Well done.

@Brewguy44
Car: SRT Viper ACR '08
Lap Time (Forward) - 1:11.569 DC 7
Lap Time (Reverse) - 1:12.936 DC 7

A very stable tune, but could be difficult to rotate in low speed corners. Much better through
the quicker sections. A rearward brake bias would have suited me more on corner entry.
Well done.

@TurnLeft
Car: Ferrari 458 Italia '09
Lap Time (Forward) - 1:10.401 DC 7.5
Lap Time (Reverse) - 1:12.388 DC 8

Great rotation at corner entry. But, then understeers through mid and exit. However, it was
balanced enough for a slight over-rotation at entry, some sideways action through mid-corner,
leaving enough tarmac for a fast exit, not only worked, but was fun also. Well done.

@xande1959
Car: Aston Martin One-77 '11
Lap Time (Forward) - 1:10.089 DC 9.5
Lap Time (Reverse) - 1:12.071 DC 9.5

Superb. The most fun I`ve had on GT6 in quite a while. This tune fitted me like a glove. Grippy,
responsive and effortless to drive. It made me grin like an idiot and I loved every minute.
Well done.:bowdown:

@Motor City Hami
Car: Nissan GT-R Nismo '14
Lap Time (Forward) - 1:10.890 DC 9
Lap Time (Reverse) - 1:12.439 DC 9

A great 4x4 grip tune. Easy to find the limit and balance it there. I drove lap after lap getting
quicker and quicker, finding 10ths here and 100ths there. Almost uncrashable. Well done

@shaunm80
Car: Ferrari 458 Italia '09
Lap Time (Forward) - 1:10.351 DC 9
Lap Time (Reverse) - 1:12.077 DC 9

A very Shaun tune. And thats a good thing. A supple chassis with a nice balance soaked up all the
bumps so I could use all the track and a bit more. The slightest understeer on entry cost a
little time. But, all in all, top tuning. Well done.

@Bowtie-muscle
Car: Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09
Lap Time (Forward) - 1:10.052 DC 9
Lap Time (Reverse) - 1:11.910 DC 8.5

A great tune for consistant lap times. But, too stable for me to get it really fast. I just
couldn`t get the back end to slide through entry or mid-corner. Which, of course is exactly how
you like `em. Top tune. Well done.

@787bcgr
Car: Nissan GT-R Nismo '14
Lap Time (Forward) - 1:10.734 DC 8
Lap Time (Reverse) - 1:11.936 DC 8

Great tune, liked to be driven hard. Had to really throw it around to get the back end where I
wanted it. And it lacked a little composure during high speed weight transfer. Nothing major
though. Well done.

@Thorin Cain
Car: Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 Superveloce '09
Lap Time (Forward) - 1:09.944 DC 8.5
Lap Time (Reverse) - 1:11.945 Dc 8.5

I didn`t know Lamborghini made a rally car! I had to poke it with a stick, but when I
did it was suprisingly fast. More front/less rear grip would have made it easier for me to drive
it quickly. Well done.

@Ridox2JZGTE
Car: Lamborghini Countach '88
Lap Time (Forward) - 1:12.097 DC 7.5
Lap Time (Reverse) - 1:14.419 DC 7

Too stiff for me. Weight transfer rear to front was happening too quick for me to keep up with
it. 3rd gear being long didn`t help the fun factor either. The chassis balance was good. But, I
just don`t have the skill to get better times. Well done.

@DolHaus
Car: Lamborghini Diablo GT '00
Lap Time (Forward) - 1:09.960 DC 8.5
Lap Time (Reverse) - 1:11.590 DC 8

Crikey! Very quick turn in and a bit unpredictable mid-corner depending on how corner entry went!
Bloody quick though! Had some issues with the pendulum effect on the run through the fast esses
in both directions. Else it would have destroyed everything else laptime-wise. And not as much
fun as I was expecting. Interestingly, I tried this tune when you posted, but on DS3 and it was
much easier to drive? Well done.

@brian wolf
Car: Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 (C6) '09
Lap Time (Forward) - 1:09.929 DC 9
Lap Time (Reverse) - 1:11.434 DC 9

I threw all the cheese at this one and it does what I wanted it to do.

@Otaliema
Car: Ferrari 430 Scuderia '07
Lap Time (Forward) - 1:10.594 DC 8
Lap Time (Reverse) - 1:12.175 DC 8

I love the BLOR on corner entry. But mid to exit understeer cost exit speed. Too safe for me to
be fast. But fun trying to provoke it. Well done.

A hearty well done to all tuners. And to CSLACR for getting this contest together. This has been
the most fun group of tunes I`ve tested in a while. Just what I needed to get over the dreaded
manflu. 👍

:gtpflag:

thank you very much, sir. for its performance for a car that deserves all praise. today would not be able to test all cars giving further 10 laps for each car. I can say that you guys are the guys testers. I congratulate Brian Wolf. and all testtadores friends. show.:cheers:👍:gtpflag::bowdown:

I took the OP as an option to either post one DC score or individual if desired. I gave an overall score for both directions, can change if needed as I still have my notes.

I didn't miss this one, just busy with work and a few little things, Still fast and furious I see, and great lap times :bowdown:. I'm a bit disappointed with this one, not the car but my tuning of it. Thanks for the review 👍 I'll be pasting them all together and I'll try to figure this one out.

euh? 🤬🤬🤬🤬, will this week ever end :banghead:. Sorry, I just found yours. :embarrassed:

:cheers:
Yep!!!! Its over, finnally. Kick back and have a.cold one!

Car: Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 Superveloce '09

Thanks for the feedback. I'll use that when I get it back to the test track and do some refining.:) And for sticking in some good times with the car. 👍 Thanks for testing:cheers:

thank you sir. more splendid performance. a fantastic car will be able also has an engine 7.3 V.12. congratulate.:cheers:👍

shaunm80 - Ferrari 458 Italia '09
Forward: 1:09.477
Reverse: 1:10.908
Combined: 1:10.193
Comments: Shaun, I *** love this car. It has a little understeer when I don't want it, but it's really great, especially for a shootout like this, where consistency matters also. I could enter an endurance race with this car. Excellent feel/ride.
Fastest and best over the crest. Bonus. Most important corner in the shootout and it nailed it, every time.
DC: 9.0
DC: 10.0

Very happy with the review and pleasantly shocked at the DC. Many thanks for the great review and a 1.09? You my friend are two seconds faster in this car than I am. Kudos to you on that one. Glad you enjoyed the car and may it enter an endurance race or two in the future :)

TurnLeft - Ferrari 458 Italia '09
Forward: 1:09.501
Reverse: 1:11.237
Combined: 1:10.369
Comments: Ahh, the 458's. Easily the hottest debate of the shootout for me. This one understeers too much for me, in the end. Just understeer getting in the way round every corner in reverse, makes this the losing 458 for me. But a nice stable ride in a 458 for sure, so don't despair. I believe the LSD accel could be raised a click or two.
DC: 8.2
DC: 7.0
Thank you for the great review 👍, it will be handy, and you a pretty fast driver :bowdown:, excellent lap times for mine and for the others. BTW I'm not despairing, might still convert this into a taxi to go with the Ice Cream truck :lol:.

You've done a great job on that one Shaun, the hoon salutes you

Thorin Cain - Lamborghini Murcielago SuperVeloce LP-670 '09
Forward: 1:08.999
Reverse: 1:10.706
Combined (avg): 1:09.853
Comments: Some oversteer at higher speeds, understeer when pushed hard, a solid car that's relatively easy to drive.
Shined in reverse, although I couldn't quite get the times I expected, it's definitely a easy to drive, stable and solid Murcielago tune. I drove all the cars default, and this is a great improvement in stability and reliability.
DC: 8.7
DC: 9.3
:eek: Look at those times :bowdown: I've been chasing that 1:09 breaker, I knew it could do it even if I can't :banghead: Great drives sir, really great drives.👍

Thanks for the feedback.:D I'm glad you found it to be such an improvement over the default car and that it was easy and stable. I had tried more for consistency over the two laps and think It showed which one got a little more favour.
@Lionheart2113

You've all been tagged. :lol:

No but seriously, just 2 reminders.
1. Testing deadline is in 6 days.
2. You can choose to have individual DC scores for both, forward and reverse, or use an overall dc score to sum up both directions.
:cheers:
I'm about halfway through the reverse laps, hope to be done over the next couple of days.
