I wasn't going to post this but I notice that people here are actually kinda looking forward to need for speed undercover. I honestly can't decide between the two offically (by officially I mean choose a a game, play both games then stay with the same choice) but so far, based on cars, gameplay (for midnight club, played it at the ny auto show), and past experiences, midnight club has my vote. I'm sure their are people who have played both and wondered which one they'll by.
👍👎 You Choose.

I'm buying Undercover this week but Midnight Club has always been the better game. EA's NFS series never feel like like complete games anymore. Pro Street was a great concept but the execution was a lacking. Its mediocre just like Carbon. The story element most go in NFS games, the FMV make each game feel like episodic release. I love racing games and I own mos of the on ps3.

Still Midnight club releases every 3 years where NFS is year to year with two different developers getting one out every 2 with deadlines.

I'm never going to buy another NFS game after the complete crap that prostreet was. Midnight club has me going. If NFS gets good feedback i'll consider it. The only good ones were the ps1 NFS and Most Wanted in my opinion.

I saw MC on screen and thought the graphics were pretty poor, it seemed like a great game in theory but poorly implemented... Im wondering if the addition of pedestrians meant that the cars and environments had to be dropped a notch.

So I passed on that and was holding out for NFS to save the day, things sounded good to start with but now its sounding slightly too samey to MW and its showing EA's classic poor game making. The graphics should be better then MC and I do like the FMV stuff but unless reviews say something like "return to form" or even better "achieves the greatness of HP2" then I might also pass on it because theres too much good stuff coming before and right after xmas.

What I really want in TDU Unlimited 2.

Pedestrians were in MC3

Need for speed underground just got 4/10 in IGN...........tis not a good omen if your still wondering LOL

I wont judge it by a biast reviewer. I dont like the way the guy describes the problems at all and im going to try it myself instead of listening to that. Most people just yab on saying that the series has become pointless in aspects it has gone down hill buy yet the games have become very popular and still lots fo people buy it and it makes the franchise as popular as it is now. I'm trying it first before I beleive dribble.

Hmmm I do take IGN reviews with a pinch of salt, but only to a certain extent. if something starts pulling in reviews below 7 then I would be cautious, possibley rent first?

I agree IGN are bit biassed or whatever you want to call em.
Because sometimes you think a game deserves 8.5 or higher and IGN gaves them 6.5 Or you think game is overated and you would give it a 6.5 IGN gives it a 9.0

So yeah IGN does make reviews based on CASUAL GAMERS, bit too MUCH!!!

But when IGN gives a game below 5.0 you really know you need to stay away from it.

Great thread, I was thinking which one to get, so LA it is!

i got MC and it's a lot of fun, online is also ok.
got also prostreet, but never played it till the end it was a big deception.
if Nfs screw it again i think it will be game over for them.

My dream is a remake from the first Nfs, the one that was made with the help
of "Road & Track" magazine, that game was the best 4 years, it had a complete explenation of the car with all the specs & also short-films of the cars, it was driving from point to point and the police was there too, and even the handling of the cars was very realistic for those years!!!! So EA please contact me, if you wanna put NFS back to his rails, don't hesitate to contact me, i'll make it a Gran Turismo-killer!(just kidding)

btw @ GTP_Marky264, let me know how the game is if you test it, thx man

does anybody know something about TDU2? is it in the make?

IGN was not the only one one to give it a low score, Edge Magazine gave it a 3/10. Average press review is 6.8. Like the last 3 games.. mediocre... If ign's opinions are so off go ahead and buy the game. But these reviews put me off from buying it at full price. Like the 2 others i waited for the price to drop and they dropped by February. Pro street is ok but not $70 ok.

i'm reading everywhere that NFS is bad..
not enough traffic
too much glare
i might stick with midnight club this time and give NFS a rent...

HAHA I was at local GameStop game store to pick up few games, one guy ask how is the new need for speed.. and the GameStop guy said "Horrid" lol!
I guess I will be buing Midnight club, but in next few months, I decided to get Motorstorm instead.

Oh well I guess now that the general review consenous is that this game is a major FAIL il give it a miss, eventhough I wanst overly impressed with MC's graphics I might get that or Burnout. When this game plummets to a stupidly low price (which shouldnt take long!) and they add trophies I might consider it.

Oh well I guess even Maggie Q couldnt save this game!

Why dosen't anyone like NFS:U? Sure it did force you to rice your car out, but I actually installed it recently and had a laugh about it. Ok, it is a pretty rubbish game, but I like NFS:U over ProStreet. Don't really care what anyone else thinks about that, the fact that I gave NFS:U a chance must surely mean something.

On the topic of TDU2, I can only say that that will conquer all, since I still might play TDU occasionally.

Heh, I've read the review on IGN and I could wholeheartedly agree with them. NOT DID ONCE their review was ever off. I mean sure some of you would disagree with me on that, but I really relied on IGN whether a game is good or not. From a general P.O.V. their review just sums up everything about EA and telling the general public NOT TO BUY THE GAME! 👍

But too bad the PS2 car lists sounds like crap, anyone got the car list for the PSP version? :nervous:

But MC is a blast to play on my PSP and on the PS2. :D Should really buy it if your interested in car tuner games......

I'll give it a chance but when its cheap, like i did with the other 2 on Ps3. Midnight Club 4 graphics are fine considering you can see over 40 cars in one area. ALL cars have modeled customizeable interiors. The details are lowered but there is a lot going on than in GTA4. The gameplay is arcade and handling is fine.RWD cars drift FWD understeer the sounds are weak but the ame is also fun online. The customizing is very cool.

Graphics wise, I wouldn't know about the consoles since I have NFS:U on PC on max settings. What I don't understand is that NFS:HP2 graphics seem to be better that NFS:U. I don't know whether it's just me...but I can compare screenshots if anyone wants.

Car models look terrible in NFS and PC verion wont fix it.. only PC settings will make it more shinier and wont change how cars look.... so it's not going to save it.

Sorry guys...NFS:HP2 dosen't allow you to take ingame screenshots properly. If anybody can help me out here, I can easily get you some pictures.

PrtScr and then paste it into paint, save as a BMP and open up PhotoShop and convert it to a JPG.
