Ran a few laps on Spa with the medium tires on a stock calsonic .

My engine still needs breaking in , I'm at about 503 hp .

Running mid 2 15s
 
I want in, how do we find the lounge or what is the lounges room number so we can find it, and also what time does qualifying start at?
 
Sorry Joe this is for members of the MRC only, this is a shootout for us to decide which of our drivers to put forward for an inter-league event, the rules of the event state our driver must be an active member of our league.

Head over to our league thread and join us there if you wish, there is a spot open for a new driver ;)

Seems a pretty good time, I haven't bought my Calsonic yet, I will try and get a few practise laps in today

My times are similar too for now :)
but guys in the Intercontinental GT500 are in 2.13 lap time in SPA. We have to improve :scared:
 
I think at full engine power that could make the difference...hoping for a second or 2 there!

I really need to go buy the car and break it in, I'm not even sure I can make the event date yet, but I'm trying to re-org some things that weekend so I'm hoping I can. I still don't have much time for practise but I might just make the top 4 without it...

Goddamn what is with this car, lap 2 on completely stock everything including default setup and already half a second quicker than I was in the MOTUL, no wonder you were only beaten once last season Garagefather!! ;)

Yes it seems I have about 2 seconds to find here not sure where I will find the time .

Maybe reducing some rear downforce might help but I'm hesitant to do that .
 
My previous comment was not meant to suggest you only won cause you had the Calsonic Garagefather, as we know this season is proving that the car alone cannot make it to the top ;)

SkengD I wouldn't worry too much about what other teams are posting as lap times, as we know different lounge's have different handling characteristics for whatever reason, could also be propaganda :lol: I don't expect us to win this as we are aimed at beginners/amateurs whereas most other teams consists of pro's/aliens!! It will be fun to take part anyway 👍

Good lap especially if your engine is still fairly fresh , I managed a high 2 14 but I'm still at 504 hp with my engine , will try to break it in before tonight's race

Very good attitude. I can say that we don't have any aliens on our team either and we are approaching it the same way. Do our best and have fun.

I've been following your main thread and this one and I'm impressed with your series... The organization and teamwork is great. I wouldn't hesitate to join your series some day if the time were good for me (which unfortunately it isn't).

I'm sure you'll do fine and I hope we get to race against you in the final lobby and if not there is no shame in getting out paced by teams full of aliens... PURE is in our bracket and their lineup is in one word... WOW.

Thanks again for agreeing to participate. Hopefully this event can help spur internal pride within each series as the team is the real focus and it will also show what a great community of drivers and series we have here at GTPlanet.

The 3d3 race isn't until December 3rd ? And the semis and finals will be held on that same date ?

The reason I'm asking is for some reason I thought it was this Saturday , if it is indeed this Saturday I won't be able to compete :(

Thanks for the compliment Tim, I'm very happy with our series, we all help each other out with regards to tuning etc. The sportsmanship in the MRC is very good and I think we will be well represented in that respect. I may not be able to make the race but I will certainly tune in to the live feed as soon as I can.

Yes the race is on the 3rd, including semis, final and consolation race ;)
 
Yes it will be streamed for us to spectate and cheer you on :D

got bob to break my car in for me, hasn't made much difference unfortunately, I got a 2:14.877 but it was the only time I broke into the 14's the rest very low 15's. My lack of GT time is really showing this season :(
 
I haven't touched the car since last friday so I doubt in going to show my full potential today. Plus I hate spa for having such weird flow. I don't know the line and will just figure it out as I race lol.
 
Sector 2 is so long and difficult , once I get sector 2 I will be very fast here

Breaking in the engine has helped out my lap times a lot , going to play with downforce a bit now .

not sure what is going on. Soopa got booted and we all left the room so he could set it up again. Maybe his internet connection is down. I'll keep checking to see if he starts a room up again.
 
gt5 shows Soopa on but I don't see an open lobby for him. Not sure what is going on. I just opened my own lobby fine and ran so I don't think it is me.
 
Due to unexpected absences and an overall consensus from the attendees that made it, we have decided to postpone and reschedule the event at a later time that suits everyone better and allows more participation.

Even though the race was to be run to determine our 3D3 lineup, it was originally just going to be a race that took out the car element of the competition and just focused on the driver. That being said, even guys that can't or don't want to run the 3D3 race, should still compete in the event for its original purpose. The top drivers able to make the 3D3 race can have the spots for that event.

We need everyone to chime in on what they want to do.
 
after discussing it with everyone that attended, we agreed that we can make this race this friday, and postpone our league (or maybe take out spa... dunno...). Let's hear from Soopa...

What a disaster tonight was, connection issues and then I had to leave after starting qualifying, also the turnout was only 6 out of the 10 that had signed up... Was surprised that ROYALE didn't show as I thought he had a point to prove, also SkengD who'd been practising all week!?! I'm happy to do this on Friday and postpone the league if everyone else is, I could also just pick the 4 drivers to represent us, I'm confident of the top 3 just not so sure about the 4th (although I have in mind someone I think deserves it).

My daughter woke up at midnight feeling ill, my Mrs was dealing with her being sick and so I went to check on her after starting the qualifying, she was red and itchy so I guessed she was having an allergic reaction to the antibiotics she'd taken a few hours earlier. Took her straight to the hospital and they managed to calm things down with antihistamine, was really worried for a while but she should be ok now.
