MINOLTA TOYOTA 88cv RACE CAR '89

over the pass week or so it seems as if my Minolta is losing HP. Yes I have done the oil and wash a number of times but this is a car that never gets beat and it has been beat twice I think. I can't remember what the horsepower use to be but I though it was over 1000. Now it is 839 or so. Did I break it????lol Am I remembering the numbers wrong or what?

Have you tried to rebuild the engine / chassis in GTAuto???

Max hp of the Minolta is around 1040hp provided that it's gone through the break-in stage. Most likely you have decreased the power limiter option in the past. Try to check your engine settings and see that the power limiter is at 100%.

If you have added any upgrades to the engine you'll lose and wear the engine faster than with out the up grades. There will be a point when the engine rebuilds wont be worth it. It's just the price you'll pay then you have to buy another car to compete.

good job...I had set the power limiter back to 84.4% for some reason....thanks I forgot to check that. I still only have 993hp. It doesn't need oil or washing. ? now what?👍

Just drive it more and regular oil change. It will eventually hit 1000+ hp 👍

Thanks a lot...it has drove me crazy trying to figure out what i did to it. I also check the power limintor on my other cars but sure didn't on this thinking why would I cut the power on that...

A Turbo Charger is nothing,that can be removed. When you add the stage 1 to 3 engine mods that's when you'll get in trouble. Yes they give you extra power and such. They also hurt the engine greatly. It's best not to add any engine mods to Race Cars due to the price of them. I've only added engine mods to two of my race cars so I could keep up with other people.

Just remember that extra power doesn't make you fast. Your driving skills make you fast and a lot of people who run this sim forgot about that.

I agree 100%, you can have all the speed you want but if you can't drive it you're in trouble!!!

Probably an update messed it up

I think I will look in GT4 and see what that Minolta has for HP. I know I drove that one a lot. It wouldn't surprise me if an update did it. It was ok before this last update!
