ye i think ur right, needs a bit of attention. i guess the first few times i did it the ai had no prob gettin to first in lap one or two, so i think i over estimated his capabilitys somewhat :P

Here's a summary of the best races for winning cash. The times I give are actual elapsed times in B-spec mode (except for Capri) and are close approximations since they'll vary depending on the car used. The times also assume that in the case of enduros the game is reset to 3X speed immediately after all pit stops.

Deutsche Touring Car Meisterschaft (DTM)
Prize money: 150,000
Prize car: Mercedes Benz CLK-GTR race car
Car value: 743,749
Total cash: 893,749
Time: 16 minutes
Credits per minute: 56,000
Advantages: Fastest payoff rate in the game by a wide margin.
Disadvantages: Takes seven game days. If Day 694 is right around the corner and you have your eye on the black beauties, you might want to consider the Nurb or Fuji races instead, at 3 game days each. Requires a decent B-spec driver.

Capri Rally (Easy) at Costa di Amalfi
Prize money: 10,000
Prize car: Toyota RSC rally raid car
Car value: 265,624
Total cash: 275,624
Time: 9 minutes
Credits per minute: 30,000
Advantages: Fastest race to run. Available right at game start, provided you started the game by earning the IA license and have the Nismo 270R prize car from it. Best for a quick shot of cash to buy most production cars and tuning parts, unless the production car you have in mind is something like a Shelby 427 Cobra.
Disadvantages: Must be driven A-spec; B-spec not available in the Special Conditions hall. Requires National A license.

El Capitan 200 Miles enduro
Prize money: 250,000
Prize car: Toyota Minolta 88C-V race car
Car value: 743,749
Total cash: 993,749
Time: 43 minutes
Credits per minute: 23,000
Advantages: Pays more than DTM and in fewer game days. Fastest enduro payoff.
Disadvantages: Still takes twice as long as the DTM. Endurance events require 25% game completion.

Fuji 1000 km
Prize money: 750,000
Prize car: Nissan R92CP
Car value: 743,749
Total cash: 1,493,749
Time: 2 hours
Credits per minute: 13,600
Advantages: Lots of cash in a reasonable amount of time. Best race to run unattended; ideally suited to leave running overnight making money while you sleep, or leave running while you're at work/school.
Disadvantages: Requires a top grade properly tuned LMP car to win, or the Formula Gran Turismo. Endurance events require 25% game completion.

Nurburgring 24 Hours
Prize money: 1,200,000
Prize car: Formula Gran Turismo
Car value: 1,593,749
Total cash: 2,793,749
Time: 9 hours
Credits per minute: 5,200
Advantages: Best payoff per game day. A single race can pay for two of the week 100 black beauties, the R92CP and Mazda 787B.
Disadvantages: Takes the longest to run. Endurance events require 25% game completion.

The Japan Championship takes about as long to run as the DTM and only pays 391,249.
Schwarzwald Liga B also takes the same time as the DTM and only pays 421,874.
The All Japan GT Championship at 10 races takes much longer than the DTM and only pays 536,874.
All other events in the game, with one exception, pay even less except for some other Special Conditions Hall events, but they're in the same ballpark as the Capri Rally.

The exception is the highest paying event in the game, the Formula GT series. It pays 4.5 million in cash prizes alone. However since it's 15 full blown enduros, I don't think anyone would consider it as a quick cash maker.

Edit: Changed El Capitan from 40 to 43 minutes and 25,000 credits/min to 23,000

A Even Faster Way than the CapriRally, is actually playing George Paris on Normal, for one, the laps total up to be shorter than capri rally (2laps), secondly, it's normal lv. so each race would give 10,000 Cr. and finally, the car value is the same as RSC Rally Raid..
Therefore, You Earn 10,000 More Credits and less time needed.

I could quibble that I can do the Capri Easy in about 7'40 for the two races combined vs George V Normal in about 8 minutes flat, but your times could very well be the other way around, depending on how well you know the respective tracks (and me too for that matter). And as you say, George V Normal does pay an extra 10k.

Times are driving a BMW M3 GTR Race Car in both, btw.

For someone who only has 3% game completion, a good way to get money quick is to win the Honda Civic Cup. Go back and B-Spec it using the prize car, now that you've won another of the same prize car, you can sell one for 95,000 credits. Pretty good for 3.0% game completion.

Note: I was running a '95 Civic Eg6 with NA tune 2 upgrade giving 220 horses. It wasn't that hard to be honest.

i bought my memory card to a game store they put 999,999,999,999 credits on it for gt4 so i never run out of money to buy the upgrades

I think that kind of defeats the purpose of the game - racing to earn the money to afford the upgrades... If you read back through this thread you'll see there are plenty of ways to make money without too much hassle.

Also, what does this have to do with the thread?

At 3% completion you can do both the Capri rally and the DTM. Actually you can do the Capri rally at 0% if you have the IA license and the Nismo 270R that comes with it, and the DTM at 0.8%. I like to start a new game by getting all the licenses, winning the Capri rally, sell the Toyota RSC rally raid car, buy a Mercedes SL65, win the Legends of the Silver Arrow then the DTM. Fresh game and no money worries whatsoever!

Race the 200M Race at El Capitan, Win the Toyota Minolta, Sell for 7xx,xxx. B-Spec The Race and just take a peek at your tires ever so often.

105k in 3 mins= special conditions in any 300bhp+ race car or 400bhp+ road car tsukuba wet normal and sell the mazda 6 touring car u get. easy as pie

And even better; you do not have to complete all 15 races in the championship to win the cash and the F1. After 10 races, and assuming you have taken 1st place in the first 10 races, you will have 100 points towards the championship. The other AI cars in the field will typically "take turns" sharing 2nd, 3rd and 4th place with 5th and 6th place falling consistently to the same two cars. In my case the orange F1 seemed to always finish last. So, the most points the 2nd place contender would typically have is about 40 - 50 points. Enter the next five races and immediately exit each race. You will notice that 1st place will be awarded to the same car for the next five races - so make sure your math is correct. You will gain one point for each of those five. In so doing, you have ensured that you have the most points in the championship.

Still takes a long time to run 10 races, even in B-spec.

Tsukuba wet "normal" you win easy cause the opponent is overpowered. it takes about 3-4 min depending on you car. you win the mazda 6 tourning car which is worth 95000cr. that makes 105000Cr in total.

Will the mods please lock this thread? Everyone should've figured out the fastest way to gather a load of credits. It's mentioned in the FAQs, and there's really nothing to be added. The only thing I reckon wasn't posted here is "Begginers hall / Sunday Cup. Win all 5 races and sell Abarth for 8000Cr, totaling in 10,000Cr."
It's just a thread that keeps getting bumps every week or so...

Eh, Will the mods Please not lock this thread before I post this? Otherwise, go ahead. But anyway, there is a way to get 800,000 Credits in under ten minutes if you're lucky.
---------
Get the touring car from the event in the Mercedes dealership, "Legend of the Silver Arrow," race the race in the european events called "Deutsche (Sp?) Touring Car Mieshterschaft (Sp?)" German is hard to type... Anyway, B-spec (speed x3) the first four races, then enter then just quit the NurBurg' race. You'll get first place in the tournament, first place in four of the individual races, and a 738,000 some credit car. Repeat and you'll be rich in no time, Hahahahaha.

I don't understand how that's cheating... Eh, well. I'm making money fast, but I'm not entering codes, and more money equals better cars, right? Eh, shucks. Sorry.

Yes, the DTM, which has been mentioned many times in this thread alone as well as many places elsewhere. However why on earth would you quit out of the Nürburging race? That's the second quickest race in the series. The ones that take the longest are Opera Paris and Fuji 2005GT. Furthermore Fuji is the last race which means you would know for sure you've got the series locked up. That's why, if you're going to quit one of the races, Fuji is the one to quit.

that is just cheating and would make the game boring.

Why is it cheating, and how is it boring? Running some other series over and over again to make the same money you'd make running the DTM once is somehow less boring?

I agree it's tiresome seeing newcomers posting over and over again about the DTM and Capri Rally but on occasion some new information does surface. For instance I had not been aware of the fact that the George V (Normal) race was just as good as the Capri rally for raising cash quickly until it was posted here a while back.

What we really need is to somehow get people to actually read a thread before jumping in. Locking threads is not the way to do it.

I've done the event where you get the CLK from but i can't clear the race records. It just goes to the race without anything happening
Read the first page of this thread: "Do you wish to clear...."

Then press OK.

From what I play, I get no points if I quit.

race the Legend of the Silver Arrow races in the Mercedes section in the Germany village.
then take the CLK Touring Car you win and add i think its the Stage 3 NA engine tuning and B-SPEC the German Touring Car Championships in the Europe hall.
You win £15,000 per race, £75,000 for winning the series and about £750,000 for selling the Mercedes AMG GTR Race Car that you win. EASY! 👍

Let's dig up a topic, that has been dead for over six months to post something that has already be suggested 15 times previous.

Maybe, every time this thread starts a new page some-one should post the DTM money getter.

daan
If you are adding relevant information, there is nothing wrong with bringing back old threads.

Problem is, although this may be relevant information, it is useless since it has been wrote once, again, again, again, again... and so on.

What is the DTM money getter? LOL. Where's that search feature when you need it?

/facepalm

Seriously, this is all I can say. If this is what moderators understand for "good conversation"...
