Missing Apex guide with Anniversary edition at Game

If you're planning to buy the Anniversary edition at Game and the advertised game guide is important to you you might want to reconsider. Despite their website still, as of this morning, advertising it as coming with it there was nothing in the box and the staff in the shop confirmed that it doesn't look like it's being shipped with it.

I picked mine up on Friday and have just taken it back to the shop. The guide was the only reason I went for the Anniversary version. I didn't particularly want their choice of cars in a particularly average colour scheme and I really didn't want the million credits at all. I like to work through the game without having a head start.

They traded it for the standard edition and refunded me the difference.

Loving the game though.

The printed apex book was only available in asia as far as I know.

It was advertised at Game as part of the Anniversary Edition, also the only reason I pre-ordered that version.

Yep, me too, ordered only for the "Updated Apex II" bad advertising.

I just went with it though :/

Take it back to the shop and demand a refund. They were going to refund the entire 60 quid for me but as they were going to give 30 of it back as a gift card (because that's how I bought it) and the card would have been useless to be because there wasn't anything else I wanted I decided to take the basic edition and a refund of the difference.

Don't believe the Apex II thing was ever announced as more than an Android/iOS app. Where's the order page on GAME?

They dropped the price £10 (you may have noticed) because they dropped the paperback for a digital download copy instead cuttig cost not ownly on shipped millions of paperbacks around but printing and publishing costs.

Not sure how to get the copy though
