THEME: In their words: "Small Scale.

Anything as long as Adam can use his new fantastic 1/43rd scale mystery car!'"

Rules:

-Editing -Levels, Curves, Colour Balance, Brightness/Contrast, Hue/Saturation, cropping, or anything else capable in the development process or with filters and common special lenses are allowed to use in Photoshop or other image editing softwares. Other adjustments and effects are not allowed to be used in your picture. You may also use Unsharp Mask.

-Photographs must not be a 'snapshot' but must include some composition and effect - Base the photo on a studio shoot, or even use diorama/composition to create a realistic setting (you could position the model and camera in such a way in an outside setting so that it appears to be a 'real' car)

-Shots must be taken between January 2009 and the present day - exceptions can be made as long as the photograph has not been shown before the competition e.g. unposted work.

-Picture sizes - Must be no longer than 400px on the longest edge for the thumbnail image, (linked) full sized images must be no longer than 900px on the longest edge

-Deadline for each week will be 10pm GMT on a Wednesday, poll will be up by 10:30 pm GMT
-Voting will close on a Friday at 10:30pm GMT

The next competition will take place on Wednesday the 23rd of February.

I don't have anything at that scale, all my models are 1/20 and 1/24. Crap. :ouch:

Haha, Chris you know what car I'm going to use :P I just need to take a better shot of it. :D

Of course I do. But you also said you wanted it to be a surprise. Secret kept. :P

Well, if I enter I'll probably use a Hot Wheels/Matchbox car. ^^; I don't know about those scales...I think Sir Speedster502 should respond to that.

Not exactly what I wanted, but close enough. I may try more later.

Nice shot Eric! Is the Subaru a Scalextric car, or have some kind of stand on the underside?

I'm trying to think of something interesting to do with my shot, I'll probably take it tommorrow. 👍

Thanks! It's an Ixo, we have it hanging on the wall so we have a little metal string under there to keep it up. I didn't bother on taking it off since it seemed like too much work, but it does sit weird which makes me regret not doing it.

Ah, that's a pretty neat idea hanging them on the wall. I wouldn't worry about it too much, it's only noticeable if you stare at the picture for awhile. :)

Once the shelfs run put of room, all that's left is the wall, we've became masters at wall hanging :D. I was thinking I wouldn't include a larger version so it wouldn't be easier to see it .

Haha, I've run out of both shelf space and wall space (blame numerous posters)! It's actually the reason I started collecting 1/43rd the other day, a more space conscious and money conscious collection. And you should quickly Photoshop it out, Chris won't notice. :P

I jumped on the 1:43 scale bandwagon for awhile too, but kind of gave up after the sheer amount of choices. Every race I went too I was overwhelmed with them and never knew which ones to get . I've been trying to get all Toivonen cars, but I can never find them anywhere in person except the 911. I want an S4 SO bad , it's not even funny. And I could try to photoshop it out, but with my skills it'll look even worse .

I'm not the best at this, but an extra picture can't hurt for these competitions I guess.
