Apparently Brock's selling one of five special Monaro's built so they could enter something 'special' in the Targa Tasmania.
It's got 340kw at the flywheel and is specially lightened. He's asking ~$85000 for it, to fund his Nation's Cup campaign. I understand it's not road registerable.

Which raises the following questions:
1. Holden's not sponsoring him?
2. He doesn't have the money - despite his photo on every car care product available?
3. Why weren't they made available to the general public

Brock's never got his money from Holden since the whole HDT thing - he always had backing from Mobil (which is why the HRT cars were carrying those colours while he was involved in them in the mid 90's), which I believe has now dried up.

He probably has got the money, but the first rule in risky ventures like this is to put as little of your own money (or, more correctly, as much of other people's money) behind it as possible.

Given the whole HSV 427 fiasco, I imagine Holden or HSV would be pretty touchy about 'factory special' Monaros. If they're not road registerable, probably doubly so.
