Monday Night Racing continues the tradition of weeknight racing (Eastern Time Zone). Each week's events are reprised on Wednesday evenings (UTC), too, for drivers in European time zones. Make sure to select All Regions, in GT7. Wednesday lobbies are entitled as Not So Easy Racing.
We have been racing in open lobbies since August 20, 2012, so the Real settings of our on-line lobbies are well tested. Events and settings are designed to challenge the driver's skills with 1-make races, to encourage fair and safe driving from everyone, and to encourage tuning within reasonable limits (default power and weight, which is good practice for you Sport Mode drivers). If you don't tune, suggested settings are posted here and in our PSN Party Chat. Monday Night Racing encourages beginners or drivers returning to GT to get up to speed with us, and we will also do our best to chase any aliens.
We follow a monthly schedule which ensures that every type of content in GT gets used:
Week 1: small street cars - the equivalent of N100-N400 Week 2: small race cars up to Gr.4, rally cars Week 3: big street cars - the equivalent of N500-N1000 Week 4: big race cars, Gr.3 and up Week 5: special events, something different
Once a car is used, then another unused car is selected. That way, over time, a good amount of your garage will get tuned reasonably well. If this kind of racing interests you, select All Regions in GT7 and look for Monday Night Racing - 1-make [car name] ONLY lobbies. Select "follow" for this thread, to get notifications or e-mail from GT Planet. With the loss of PSN Communities, weekly race details will be posted here, as usual, and in the message list attached to our PSN Party Chat.
Race until you drop. Most Monday Night Racing lobbies stay open for 2-4 hours (more or less), but the most drivers participate in the first hour. If the lobby is full, join later. No points are awarded, no attendance is required; MNR is low pressure and no-nonsense, to help ensure everyone can have fun while doing challenging racing. PSN: MastrGT

Next car is the Aston Martin Valkyrie on Race Hards.
Full Race suspension, brake controller and Manual Transmission are allowed. (Not full race Transmission)
Car:Aston Martin Valkyrie 2021, 1139 HP, 2800 lbs, Tires = Racing Hard, (target PP = 859.45), Tires=4X* Fuel=4X*
This electric hybrid car allows only limited tuning adjustments. Add the FC Suspension, Manual Transmission, and you may want the Brake Controller, too. The massive downforce makes it very interesting to drive. Depending on the track, you may have tire wear or fuel issues or both. Without a FC Differential and with all of this power, watch your exits. The regen rate is very helpful, so use the power curves to your advantage.
Tracks & Conditions, (Laps)
Red Bull GP (11)
St Croix A (5)
La Sarthe (5)

Adding the full customizable suspension to the Valkyrie tightens up the vehicle behavior. As Ste-Croix and Sarthe are wide flat tracks with fast sweeping curves, the car needs a little help turning through these corners and the weight shift under braking is a little late in the process. I lowered the front height minimally to help through the fast turns and reduce front compression to better handle with the weight shift.
Add the usual Fully Custom Suspension, Differential and Manual Transmission. The Brake Controller may help with tire wear.
This is another 5th Monday of the month Special Event using the BMW 3.0 CSL. Consumptions will be the same fixed rate in all races, so as each race gets longer, you will burn fuel and wear tires at a constant rate. Races will be timed and not set by laps.
Tracks (Laps)
Race #1: Blue Moon Infield A (15 minutes) Race #2: Dragon Trail Seaside (20 minutes) Race #3: Nurburgring GP (25 minutes) Race #4: Kyoto Driving Park Yamagiwa+Miyabi (30 minutes)

On June 6, 2014 geezer1791 formed the GTP Geezer Club in the GT6 clubs and sports forum. Jerry passed away Nov 25, 2020. We have continued in his forum GT SPORT GEEZER CLUB. We will move to GT 7 in less than a month and will continue to have weekly events Saturday, Sunday mornings as well as...

For this special event, 4 variable PP timed races will be run with Road Cars and a VGT road car. Tire wear & fuel may be an issue depending on your cars, but Race #3 should allow you to drive some monster cars, if you wish. This event should last ~2 hours, as usual, but please choose your cars early, to not drag it out longer.
Race #1: 400 PP Road Cars, min 2000 lbs, Tires=Comfort Medium, Tires=20X Fuel=10X, Tokyo South Counterclockwise, 15 minutes Race #2: 500 PP Road Cars, min 2200 lbs, any Comfort tire, Tires=6X Fuel=6X, Maggiore East Reverse, 20 minutes Race #3: 600 PP Road Cars, min 2400 lbs, Tires=up to Sport Medium, Tires=3X Fuel=3X, Grand Valley Hwy 1 Reverse, 25 minutes Race #4: 700 PP VGT road cars, any Sport tire, Tires=3X Fuel 3X, Sardegna Road Track A Reverse, 30 minutes
Please join us for a full night of fun racing.

That was a busy night with a full lobby for most of the races. Quite a variety of cars (driver's choice) giving vastly different performance, which is why MNR is based on one car per night.
Add the usual Full Customizable Suspension, Differential, Manual Transmission. The Brake Controller may help, but I haven't tested it yet.
Tracks & Conditions, (Laps)
Grand Valley South, Tires=15X Fuel=9X*, (12)
Nurburgring Sprint, Tires=17X Fuel=8X, (9)
Yamagiwa, Tires=8X8 Fuel=(8)
A word of caution: with these tires and the 12.8 lbs per HP, drivers will want to take curves out-in-out, to keep control and to keep up momentum. A wide entry is not an invitation to dive bomb the lead car. You will get pinched near the apex.
Also, using the map pins on these tracks is an excellent way when to get back on the gas. For most exits, as soon as you see the exit pin it is usually safe to accelerate in the 190 E.

Send your PSN ID to me, so that I can add you to the private Chat (that's the way the PSN works now) and to friend you. That way you get the race details first. The lobbies are open to the public. When we are friends, you can easily find the racing lobby.
The skill level varies over time, but we have drivers in all skill levels, from beginners and casual drivers, to tough to beat drivers. The majority are, um, inbetween. They will be fair with you, so there is nothing to be afraid of. The conditions are not easy, but the environment will help you improve your own skills.
