I first caught it in GT2, that is when I started studying. In GT3 almost everything you see is like a 'wrapped image' Imagine a box, flat on 6 sides. Now on each side, paste a picture of a basketball. If you run by the covered box, and you are busy looking where you are running, out of the corner of your eye, that box will look just like a basketball. In gt3 you will be amazed by the number of objects that are not objects but instead are pictures of objects, neatly trimmed and propped up on trackside...

The monkey is the best!
very hard to get the right angle to see him clearly on a pic just goto the track for a better look

Didn't notice any Zoo near :gt: tracks?
Have we been missing any other wildlife? Maybe there's a Whale in Grand Valley under the bridge....:teleport:

the monkey is not the only strange thing at trial mountain! there are also people in a boat on the lake, and from the right angle you can also see a monster in the same lake. you can see it in picture mode, with the camera near the white billboard, at the side of the lake left from the boat. I've got a picture on the game, i'll post it later...

It's hard to ignore the fact that Nessie was at the other side of the lake and the people on it in the middle, but that she is still more detailed then the people

I've always knew about the monkey, the GT4 version of Trial Mountain it's clearly re-made from scratch, and the monkey looks slightly different. The same version of the track has been used in both GT PSP and GT5. I've spotted the monkey on all versions, and the people on the boat.
But here's some doubts that have been bothering my mind...if the same version of the track has been used in GT5 and GT PSP, was nessie in there too? if so, why? The photo mode in GT4 doesn't really allow this sort of angles...
After I found nessie in GT5, Trial Mountain never looked the same to me again...started to look around and found the forest to be creepy, specially that dead tree on the left hand bank corner (second tunnel, long straight, then bank left).
I can understand why would the team place the monkey and nessie in the game, but...what I can't understand is why isn't there any more.
on a small side note, back in GT4 you can spot two women taking a sun bath in monaco...

The lake, just after the 3rd sector.
You get out of the s curves in the forest, downhill into a left hand corner that leads to the last two corners. You'll notice a lake on the distance, when you're on the top of the hill, try looking for a red dot on the lake, that would be the boat. As for nessie, you'll need to be in photo mode, it's behind a hill, left of the boat.
