BigMoMo's GTP Club/League Ranking Stats Inc.
Are you running a Club/League and would like to keep track of records? Look no more. I have been working on a formula that would rank your racers depending on the results achieved. It's by no means a fact that a certain racer is good, bad, clean or dirty. It only takes into account the number submitted by the stewards, the results.
// Theory \\
The theory behind the ranking is simple, the more races a player has, it's only normal that their rating will go up. It doesn't their rating won't dip. A racer who starts off strong with a few wins, will naturally start with a strong rating, if after the strong start his form dips, his rating will take a hit and dip accordingly. I will also use a set amount of points depending on their position at the end of the race no matter the point system the Club/League uses. I will also have to say that the rating a player receives will fluctuate significantly at first. It's safe to say that the first 20-30 races are considered provisional ratings. I would also say that the ratings would work best for Clubs as they usually run more races over the long run compared to Leagues. That won't stop Leagues having their own stats taken care of because it will also keep track of the finishing position, average position and what not.
If this works as expected, more details will be incorporated into the rating. If other believe certain things could prove a player's race pedigree, I'm all ears to hear it. One thing I would love to add to it is the starting position and ending position to calculate the amount of places they gained/lost over the course of the race. The idea is there, but will the stewards have that specific stat ready to give me? That would be up to the Club/League owner to tell me if they want it in for their stats base.

// Other Stats to be Added \\
If the owners/stewards provide the following stats, I would gladly add them into the stats table.
1. Position Gained/Lost
2. Fastest Lap
3. Others that I might have forgotten...
// How to Join \\
If you run a Club or a League, you will only need to provide the stats mentioned in the previous section every time you run an 'official' race by pm and I will update the table for that league. If a league attributes penalties post-race, it's only normal I would ask the stewards to make sure the race results are final before submitting said result. If the Club/League runs different divisions, I will separate the rating's list into different divisions.
