So far 345 cars in the list. If we keep this up we can hopefully have our dream 1000 car roster. Add that to the current 200 or so premiums...

I really think this should be used as a reference by PD.

my vote goes as follows...

Koenigsegg CCX '06
Bugatti Veyron Super Sports '10
Ascari A10 '06
Ariel Atom V8 '10
Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth '87

although i'd love to add most the group B's and all classic fords, I cant justify them over these few supercars of recent. Thanks for the excellent thread.

First I`d like to say I`m sorry I did not pay attention to reading the thread description, thus voting on cars that were not even in the list.

Here`s my proper vote:

Toyota AE86 Trueno GT-Apex Black Edition '86
Ford Escort Mark I RS1600
Toyota JZX100 Mark II Tourer V '96
Ford Escort RS Cosworth '92
Ford Escort Mark II RS1800

No, you still read that wrong, you're allowed to vote for whatever car you want. I think the point of checking the list first is to see whether a version of your car has already been voted for by others, though to be honest I can't seem to see the point seeing as it doesn't matter whether you know your cars are on the list, the 5 you post will be included whether they've been voted for already or not.

Hence why the E30 M3 evo 2 is at the top of the list with 24 votes, as opposed to the original 2.3L version. Why would anyone vote for the 2.3L version??

I also noticed that it says a LOT when something as humble as an 80's touring car is widely more popular than a bunch of hugely fast, hugely exotic machinery. I don't think the E30 M3 has ever been loved less, so why in the hell hasn't Gran Turismo picked up on it? It has a bunch of newer M3's and one or two other classic beemers after all, there's literally no reason to exclude such an obvious car.

BMW M3 E30 EVO II '89
Porsche GT3 RS '10
Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale '03
BMW M3 E36 GT2 (Evo Individual) '98
Honda Civic Type R Mugen '10

Ah ok, I seem to remember that I read differently not too long ago, maybe it was changed or I`m getting senile :P I`ll delete/edit my previous post.

On another note, yeah, I originally voted for the completely normal BMW E36, I`m normally not a beemer lover but a friend of mine has the sports edition with M3 suspension and slightly tuned 2.5 inline 6 (200-210hp) and it`s such a nice overall sedan imho.

Moreover, you are correct, people do love the older cars, yet so few of them are premium in GT5, and I think the reason for that is in Japanese way of things, if you live in Japan, the older your car gets, the more expensive the yearly inspections gets, contrary to in the west where older cars are cheaper to insure and inspect every year, with age they are more and more expensive in Japan, so people scrap their 4 year old cars and buy new ones because its simply cheaper, so maybe PD figured it`s the same in the west and therefore thought we liked new cars better?

In any case, it adds under PD`s fold of bad decision makings, as evident by this thread imho.
