Swell idea! Here are my five top GT originals (these should be available as DLC):

1. Midfield
2. El Capitan
3. Apricot Hill
4. Seattle
5. Costa di Amalfi

Just a thought: since we were told years ago that GT4 tracks had been converted into HD, it seems that our votes will have the greatest influence on GT originals becoming DLC for GT5. (The RW track ideas are great, but we have no insight into the amount of work yet to be accomplished for making them reality.) Perhaps a second vote could be created so we can indicate which GT4/GT originals are our favorites? A ranking of GT4 tracks for future inclusion might be helpful!

5 pts: Talladega Superspeedway (RW)
4 pts: Texas Motor Speedway (RW)
3 pts: Bristol Motor Speedway (RW)
2 pts: Watkins Glen International (RW)
1 pts: Charlotte Motor Speedway (RW)

5pts: Mount Panarama - Bathurst (RW)
4pts: Surfers Paradise (RW)
3pts: Pikes Peak (RW)
2pts: Seattle Circuit (GT)
1pt: Spa (RW)

Please pay a bit more attention.
There are 2 Surfers Paradise.
I counted the Street Circuit, because it's more famous, but please care to specify.

As with the most desired car threads, it might be worth determining the top 10 or 20 tracks based on the votes so far (or maybe let it go for a little longer) and then start an actual poll

I was going to strategically place my votes to 'bump' tracks up the pecking order, but as the count is only at post #50... I'll vote proper...

5 pts - Spa Francorchamps (RW)
4 pts - Bathurst (RW)
3 pts - Hockenheimring (pre 2001) (RW)
2 pts - Pikes Peak Hillclimb (heck just tarseal it all - it will be one day) (RW)
1 pts - Motu Rally stage (full 47.38km) (Rally of RW stage)

(Didn't have place for PD tracks - but in this order of preference - Midfield, Red Rock Valley, Rome Night, El Capitan, Seattle). On another note Isle Man TT track although only used bikes would be a blast too...

p.s. I hope you put this into some kind of S/S so it makes it very easy to update and tally!

why are you all doing 5pt 4pt 3pt 2pt 1pt? That makes no sense.

Spa
A new New York
cant think of anymore

Because it gives people a chance to choose their favorites, guaranteeing more importance to the ones they really prefer. It also adds a strategic dimension to the votes, if you care to look for the current rankings.

It's the same system FIFA uses to decide the year's best player, for an example.

In this case, I will consider:
5 pts Full Course
4 pts Outer Course
3 pts East Course
2 pts West Course
1 pts Karting Track

OK?

haha, that works.

I don't know of a ton of real world tracks. I also have never driven Miller, but from what I've heard, it's an awesome track.

I would enjoy

5- Targa Newfoundland (W) (R)
targa2007.jpg

Dude! Come on, that's unfeasible!
It's like a thousand miles of race track.

Let's keep a realistic approach to this.
I appreciate the idea, but there would have to be a game made just for that track.
I think that if you add up all 70+ tracks/layouts in GT5, you don't cover the distance the Targa does.

my vote goes:
5 for Watkins Glen International (RW)
4 for Spa (RW)
3 for infineon (RW)
2 for El Capitan (GT)
1 for Apricot Hill (GT)

Where's "Bathrust" at? :D

On a more serious note:
1) Pikes Peak
2) Passwang Mountain Pass
3) Stelvio Mountain Pass
4) Mille Miglia
5) Baja 1000

Once again, when a track is a 1000 miles long, like Baja 1000 or Mille Miglia (1000 miles, in Italian), I will not count your vote.
There's no point in asking for a track that is longer than all GT5 tracks put together.

well, seems than there's a general agreement:

WE WANT SPA!!1 jajaja, also we want it with time change and weather! please kaz, translator san, make it happen!

spa 1pt
brands hatch gp 5pts
midfield raceway 3 pts
apricot hill raceway 2pts
complex string 4pts

Can we include a real world circuit that hasn't been built yet? Its scheduled for construction this December. I'm putting this up in hopes that PD will become aware of it so they put it in GT6.

draft_track_layout_f1_usgp.jpg

5 points = Future Austin Circuit - 2012 USGP (RW) [Not yet built]
4 points = Yas Marina Circuit (RW)
3 points = Hockenheimring - Current layout (RW)
2 points = Circuit Gilles Villeneuve/Montréal GP (RW)
1 points = Infineon Raceway (RW)

Just a note, I would include Spa as my #1 choice but so many other people chose it, I'll give the other ones a chance. Besides, I actually believe they will be putting this one in the game (there is a video PD posted somewhere on their website, i forgot where, that has Spa as a folder a track designer was working on). So I'd rather focus on ones PD are less likely working on right now.

5pts - El Capitan (GT)
4pts - Spa (RW)
3pts - Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari/Imola 1981-1994 (RW)
2pts - Mount Panorama (RW)
1pt - Hockenheim (1960-2001) (RW)

Also, you have a bit of a counting-oops for Cadwell Park - when I went to school 5+5+2=12, not 13. Otherwise, good job and good luck keeping up with the posts!!
