Whats the most frustrating race you've ever driven? For me it's the Hard Umbria Rally. With such a narrow track you cant even overtake.:scared:

I used a Mercedes EVO II with modifications and won first attempt.

If any race is annoying it's Grand Canyon Hard, gets very boring, and it annoys me that I can't kill the stupid cameramen in the race.

I got really frustrated with Cathedral rocks Trail 1-hard(second one from last) it took me forever to beat that darn mitsubishi:grumpy: :banghead:

I would agree 100%. Used the Suzuki GSR thingy against the Impreza for 170 points and it took me ?????????? attempts to get past. Once you get past and drive reasonably carefully you can maintain a lead. But that downhill section - a NIGHTMARE!

Wasn't in GT4 but in the original GT. I took the Impreza rally car to do the Grand Valley 300km Enduro. and things were going well, but I had began to grow tired and was dropping off the track and losing time letting the 2nd placed car reel me in, then I were dropping off.... badly and wouldn't last the final few laps... I was passed on the Cantilever bridge section on the final lap... and finished 3rd on smoldering tyres.

Oddly, although I lost the race, it is a fond memory of GT.

GT4: it would have to be Micra Brothers at Grand Valley reverse. Starting at the back of a linear rollling start, you have to gain 6secs around 2 laps - with very few overtaking opportunities. Add in the fact the car is underpowered and overweight for 200 A-spec points, handles like lard, and you have an incredibly frustrating time trying to win :grumpy:

The Peugeot 206 race...
One of the most difficult races PD ever made, FWD :scared: and low powered peugeots.

Nothing can beat that, it was not that difficult but the 206 at the beginners course with FWD pulling to the grass, SICK! :indiff:

Second place goes to the rally at Yosemite national park (forgot the name) where you get the Escudo Pikes Peak, it was a extremely hard rally; even with the Lancia Delta rally car.

Driving on a wet ice surface covered with marbles with worn out hard racing slicks couldn't be worse than that rally.

I made it after the 5th try,..:grumpy:

Trying for a 200 point race in the 1000 Miles! event. :irked: First, either your close, or getting blown out of the water. Frustrating beyond reason. :indiff:

Umbria (Citi d'Aria) Rallye Hard, Grand Canyon Hard. Forget going for 200 point races, just try to win.

Cheers,
Jetboy

Grand Canyon reverse, seems like as soon as I pull out a lead (Toyota RCS Rally Raid Car to an HPA R32, doesn't seem to matter) I end up hitting a barrier and losing it all to those stupid 5 second penalties (why the hell do I get penalties, yet the computer car can punt me off the track and go on their merry way?)

I went for the kill with my Black Beauty R92CP :)
I know, it's evil, but this race frustrated me too.

Ditto on the Grand Canyon Hard. That race was my last, most annoying, and most frustrating race to complete the Special Conditions Hall.

Another frustrating one is that Driving Mission with the not-so-super Superbird at Seattle.

I hate any race on Ice Arena in anything more powerful than an Impreza :banghead:. I have zero control there, and my only resort to winning is wall-riding, or the Ram :sly:

Granted its not a "race" per se...........

But I am in total agreement there.... 99.8% completed proves it.

I actually had a very enjoyable time with Mission 34. Admittedly I went from never having done it to completing it in 4 and a bit laps of the 'Ring.

Rallying - don't get me started on rallying and the 5-sec penalty. Frustration is not the word...:grumpy:

Definatly the last race in the Real circuits tour, the Nurburgring cant beat it im always 12s behind because at such extreme speeds my Minolta will suddenly spin out

Don't use a Minolta. Use an R92CP or and R89C if you have one. Or an R8.

Taking into account the number of times this is mentioned on this forum, PD should probably fire the guy who came up with the 5 sec. penalty.
The lesson to be learned: Don't ruin gameplay!!!

edit:OH and my most frustrating race at the moment is the PD cup... When I enter a normal car, there's always one 'rabbit' car that's much faster (I beat the rest with ease). The only way to win the race is to have a car that's faster than the rabbit car. The result: Minimum A-spec points and no fun driving the race, but hey, I win

iLex look in FAQ section, I listed the first 50 lineups and points values for PD cup. If I remember rightly, 21 and 46 are the best lineups to shoot for, for gaining points. ;)
