Most satisfying win ever?

When I A-Speced the Le Mans 24 Hours in the undrivable Nissan R92CP. Won by only 7 HUNDREDTHS of a second! No pics because a glitch jammed my Memory Card and corrupted all my GT4 data so I lost the replay.

No, you didn't. Seriously, do you think anyone will believe you when you say something as ridiculous as that with such a poor excuse? You wouldn't get any pictures from the replay, anyway, because it stops recording after an hour or two. That's not to mention that the R92CP is hardly "undrivable," at least until chassis wear sets in, but you should still be able to beat the AI handily. So, which Sarthe 24 hour race do you claim to have won this way, and who was your opponent?

And speaking of ludicrous claims, you never responded to stidriver's request for proof in the Tsukuba Super Lap Challenge. What a surprise.

stidriver
Andy GT
My ones:

Andy GT - Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C5) '00 - 44.281

Andy GT: Can you upload a replay for the Z06? The time needs to be checked out.

Somehow, these stunning times you claim don't match up with you saying you barely beat the AI in a car equal to or better than them.

Your signature
4 things that rule: Me, GT4, Mazda and this dude.

To get back on topic, my most satisfying win was beating the Hyundai manufacturer race at Autumn Ring for maximum A-Spec points. I know 200 A-Spec point wins were excluded from consideration in the first post, but this was for 176 points. :sly:

Agree 100% on Autumn Ring Hyundai. Took me a while and also especially when I was in front with approx 30 seconds of the last lap to go and the dang power cuts out because of a faulty kettle. :ouch::grumpy: Took another 10 tries or so to crack it again.

I would have to add some of the other almost impossible wins for max points.
Roadster 4hr for 200 points
Copen motorland and AR mini for 166 points
Suzuki Tsukuba for 200 points
Hyundai Tsukuba for 176 points
Saleen Suzuka for 200 points

I agree, and even though we are friends Andy, I must say those times seem very, very fast and impossible in a car like the Corvette. What gets me the most is the fact that you actually claim in your signature it is the fastest around Tsukuba, but without proof, I say you should remove it.

In this matter, I quote myself guilty for almost claiming the second fastest time in the Nürburgring Challenge *POST YOUR TIMES* thread in the RUF CTR "Yellow Bird", only 0.500 seconds slower than the fastest time, while running on grass three times, one of which I actually crashed against the wall, in Adenauer Frost. Not because claiming a time that is not clean, but the whole fact that even if it was clean, I wouldn't do it because of four basic reasons:

-First of all, though the lap indeed was dirty, I could excuse that I didn't do it on purpose. Yes, I didn't do it on purpose, but conciously, I can guarantee that one part of my mind said: go as fast as you can. If you can avoid hitting anything, great job!
Simply no. A dirty lap is a dirty lap. Run it again.
-Secondly, it is not a time I can constantly hit. Seriously, if my clean lap record is of 1'46.xxx, which is actually enough for second place, what good would it do to score the fastest time once every 20 laps? It just doesn't make sense to me.
-Thirdly, I can't prove it in an excellent video quality, which I know for people claiming first place, it is something necessary. I would need my father's camera to film it, and it would sincerely suck. My brother's TV is around 10 years old, and rather small. No way I will submit a video like that. Therefore, no time claimed.
-And fourthly... I sincerely do not want to see Holl1 crashing my times in his first time. I certainly don't!

Oh, and by the way... Did someone else noticed that Hyst seems like a bad typo of Just? The H and the Y are just next to the J and U, respectively. I guess you learn new things every day.

ohhhhhh!! Disconsider my time, this LM24H will never be proved unfortunately(:(), and GTP is filled with Initial D wanna-bes.

Won Sarthe II in a green 86' Corolla. My supreme driving skill was shown that the car was purchased used with 590,000km on it, and I forgot to change the oil before I started the race.

Forgot to take pics, by the way.

What does this have to do with anything?

 at Hyst.

Sorry, I never meant this thread to turn into an attack on Andy GT, but the claim(s) was (were) so outrageous that I couldn't just let it (them) slip by.

Don't forget hitting 290mph down Mulsanne without nitrous.;)

:sly: Yeah, well my Citroen 2CV, slaughtered the field in the Nurb 4hrs :sly:

when i came within 00:00.986 of wining the Mercedes Showdown. i didn't win, but it told me that i did something right.
Most satisfying loss?

Ludicrous claims thread?

Andy GT, I'd like you to send me your ghost replay of the "fastest Corvette C5 @ Tsukuba".

Surely if you're going to make an incredible claim you'd keep the data to back it up, right?

"fastest Corvette C5 @ Tsukuba" never existed, but I'll leave it on my sig as some kind of sarcasm.

Just kidding. I'll remove it from my sig now.

I don't understand why people like you feel the compulsion to enter a community and just lie and make stuff up about yourself. It's quite obnoxious and does NOTHING to contribute towards the community. The only thing that happens is that you make yourself look like a complete tool. It's just two steps above a spammer and one step above a troll.

I would understand and give you a pass if this was the first forum you've ever been on, but I doubt that it is.

I'm aware that I'm bumping this but I think its a good topic and I have something to add so here it goes.

I was driving in the Gran Turismo World Championship with my fully tuned Toyota GT-one. Now I know this isn't exactly 200pts material but I had just picked up GT4 again so my driving was.. Not very good. I entered the El Capitan (reverse?) race and I was driving against a pretty good field (R8/Pesky's/787B cars all over). So El Capitan wasn't my favourite map mostly because i sucked on it. 11 Laps should be just enough to gain on pitting strats I thought. Well no. After pretty steady driving on my part for 9 laps the Minolta just went crazy and was right behind me all the time. Now I had to pit, apparently he didn't. I entered the pit and saw him running past me while driving in the speed limit zone.

Get out of the pit, and he's got a pretty good lead on me. Can't remember how much but I remember I set my mind on the victory anyways. I just thought for myself "This is my time to shine!" (yeah cheesy innit) so I drove my best lap to date, and at the final straight I sure was glad I had that turbo s4 upgrade. Went flying past him just before the finish line, and hear this. 0.094 <--- That's the margin I won with. What a race :D

SUnday Cup - In my Mazda RX-7 (with funny acronyms) Something like stage 5? I has accidentaly pitted (damn neon lights!) and was 24 seconds ahead with 2 or 3 laps left. So I raced my heart out, and, won the race by 1.2 seconds. OOOOH YEA! 👍

My most satisfying wins have to be the opel races. I kept using the opel speedster turbo, not realizing that the non-turbo model was actually 200kg lighter than the turbo and can be tuned to be faster than the turbo too.

Just today :D

Dream Car Championship... Extreme Hall... I was in a Chaparral 2D, running hards for the race and qualifying tyres for practice (which is qualifying anyway).

My main rival was that huge blue and red Nissan GT-R concept LM car... modern, Japanese, SEVEN gears. My Chap only had three...!

The acceleration was slow, but I absolutely blitzed that GT-R. Pole on every race. He put up a fight, but I came through. Definitely one of the most fun and challenging championships I've had in GT4 👍

Why put seven gears in your car, when all you really need is three? :sly:

Just finished the Supercar races in the professional hall. I was using a Saleen S7 with all driving aids switched off (that's one tall order!). Won the final race at Midfield being pushed the whole way by the VW12 Nardo - the lead I had at the finish line was 0'00:079

Bloody hell :D

I did it driving AT.

Bam, Bam and Bam.

Thanks guys. This thread made my day.
