Don't know if you guys will be okay with it but I thought it'd be nice to spend some time with the Tesla for a week. Tackle the dirt and find ideal lines to take knowing the car will slide through a few turns.

EDIT: NVM, the time I was going to post using a Lancia Delta is now void now that you mention it.

NEW TIME: 1:52.90 (TTP, BNP, LC, AB, LGP)

I was proposing to restrict this to Teslas only since we'll probably never use them otherwise. It's meant to show some appreciation for it and prolonging the EOTW altogether.

I'm down for a Tesla restricted event. So sorry Nick if AOS decides to do that.

1:52.30 - Tesla Roadster Sport (TTP, BNP, LCP, AB, LGP)

Nimble little ****er.

That reminds me, we should have more events that restrict to not just one car, but also certain mods for it. I.E. next EOTW could use the Ford F150 with OR/Any Nitrous/RC/IPB/Any Gears...just a thought.

We could go to that level, but I personally wouldn't want to stretch it that far. Using different mods have very insignificant differences, but at the same time, one can easily play unfair and it would be difficult for any of us to really confirm that.

So is this Tesla only or not? Me wants update... I think the Tesla will rape the Delta either way tho. :P

1:50.05 - Tesla Roadster Sport (TTP, BNP, LCP, AB, LGP)

Don't under estimated this little ****ing car. Basically if the race doesn't have a sufficient straight the Tesla will destroy any car. It's drift & acceleration is so OP.

I think that is a general mechanic they left in this game since HP3, except the response time is slower making braking the ideal choice. Last I remember, power-over is pretty much impossible if you're going fast enough or if you have grippy tires like Tracks.

The drift mechanic is exactly the same in this game from HP3. It's just harder to power over drift & the cars actually lose speed while drifting.

Pretty sure you got 1:50.25 not .05...

Anyway, just did a 1:49.95 - Tesla Roadster Sport (TTP, BN, LC, AB, LGP).

Ain't my fault Autolog is glitched...

1:49.95 - Tesla Roadster Sport (TTP, BNP, LCP, AB, LGP).

Anything you can do I can do just as good or better. :P
Then it's not exactly the same then.
w/e The cars still drift the same more or less. It's not an entirely new drifting mechanism.

PS: AOS you put your name on Ms. Bacon's time.

Don't be an idiot & use Off-road tyres like you're doing. The Tesla loses like 1MPH if it touches dirt. AOS, you need to over come the fact that Off-road tyres are virtually useless unless the race is mostly in the dirt. (Even then the race usually contains cars that are great off-road that don't really need the tyres) They may help you drift on pavement but they slow down the drift a lot if you haven't notice.

Had a 1:52 with Tracks only... I take it you were on the oncoming side the whole time the road had a separation?

I don't know about you, but unless I had Offroads, I'd usually slam into the wall at the intersection. Also, the last turn into the freeway was done in one drift from under the arched overpass. Maybe that's where I lost time.

Anyway, I won't be here at noon so here's new event for those who have absolutely nothing better to do with their lives:

STRAIGHT TO THE POINT - SPRINT RACE
[Cars available: Ariel Atom, BAC Mono, Caterham Superlight]

Try to promote the other cars rather than falling back on the Ariel if you can.

No, not at all. Are you also taking the alley ''shortcut''? I didn't find it very useful. Lost more time than gained.

I'll give it a few more tries.

Edit : 1:51.95 (TTP, BNP, LCP, ABP, LGP). Improved my lines and nitrous managment slightly. I've messed up the last section all along.

Ok, I drifted off the highway onto same way traffic. Then I cross the medium with nitrous before the corner & did the same after the corner. On the next corner I just drifted & dragged the drift across the medium into oncoming. The next section I just drifted & nitrous after each then drifted the massive bend all the way to the on ramp. Nitrous up to 143MPH after each corner. Rinse repeat.

Did the game freeze at the point right before you rejoin the highway? It did for me several times and caused me to wreck which pissed me off a little.

Yes, regularly.
