Hi MCH ! Thanks for your wonderful tuning !
BTW this car is the TZ2, not T22.

Also BTW, this setup makes it a little unforgiving: one small bump and the car jumps a great deal...

Hi I have built a 2013 Shelby GT 500 replica out of a '07 Mustang GT and I'm having trouble with TC 1 slowing the car down too much in first gear when trying for 0-60 times on Sport Medium tires can you help me with it?I can send the car to you or share it FR beretta-gt88

I really don't do any drag racing in GT5. My speciality is corner speed and there isn't much need for that in drag racing. Maybe post the setup in the drag racing forum and ask for their help. Dr Slump is one of the masters over there. I also have seen a number of posts from the drag racers that they are using 2nd gear to launch and setting up the gears to better get off the line in 2nd with no TCS.

I'm not talking about drag racing I'm talking about replicating 0-60 1/4 mile times just like IRL for the replica to be correct I know PD isn't going to give us anymore american cars so I have to build a replica with what I have to work with I thought you were better at tuning the '07 Mustang GT than me I'm still learning:dopey:

Are there any turns in your testing? No. Are you starting from car sitting at zero miles per hour and trying to launch up to 60 mph as fast as you can? Yes. You are drag racing.

I think the people in the drag racing forums may be able to help you. I almost never use 1st gear for road racing. Same with my real world race car; 1st gear is for rolling out of the pit box and pulling the car onto the trailer. The revs during a lap on road racing are almost always between 3,500 rpms and redline. Sorry that I am not more help for 0-60 runs (well, drag racing).

ok I never thought of it that way I'm sure it's right I used the gearing I found on media.ford.com for the '13 GT 500

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=7546104#post7546104
In previous competitions I have tried to build my tunes somewhere down the middle, hoping for it to fit well with a majority of the testers. I think that has cost me the podium on a few occasions. My attitude now, as GT5 has aged, is that this isn’t about anyone else any longer. I built this tune for me and the way that I drive. I am guessing that half of the testers will think it is too aggressive on braking and corner entry, but that’s the way I drive. So, for those of you, who may share similar driving habits to me, enjoy the ride. And for those who differ, hang on and try not to put her into the fence – I kinda like this car.

This Elise tune has one bad habit on High Speed Ring Reverse. Exiting the tunnel you may want to brake in a straight line. She’s a little tail happy on entry.

Hey MCH will you post your tranny setup for the miata spec 2.0?

I am a little behind because I was running the FITT Rally and Street Challenge. I haven't done many of the seasonals since the F1 a month or so ago. I think I will play with the '89 Miata for the 80s Japanese seasonal and post that tune. I have spent alot of time with Miata's in the past, but it would be nice to revisit them and see how low I can push the PP for this seasonal.

Cool man. Ive learned alot from your thread. I have a few questions but i will eait till i can get to a computer so i dont have to text a novel. Really appreciate all your work.

The PDFs are at the bottom of the opening post.

Here is the current tune that I have on my Corvette ZR1 RM

Hi Keith! I've used your tune as a base for an 404 bhp, 1100 kg R Medium tires for N-ring requirements. Didn't upgraded the engine and didn' used Supercharger. Modified the transmission. It feels great on the road. Thank you! 👍

This tune was done for the FITT Cobra Shootout. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=7608764#post7608764

Track - Monaco

I don’t know why, but I decided that I would use as many odd numbers in this tune as possible. Maybe it is because of the car’s odd behavior as I was tuning it, or maybe it was because I was tuning at 3 a.m., but that was the decision and I am sticking to it. I hope that all of the test drivers turn lap times ending in odd numbers and that their fastest lap comes on an odd numbered lap. If you can’t tell, I went from loving this car at other tracks to just thinking it is an odd little ride at Monaco.

As for the tune, the goal was to make it easier to drive than stock. With the massive amount of power from the 427 cubic inch engine and the light weight of the shell, this car is a handful to drive. One way to help improve test driver focus is to cut down on the number of shifts required on the tight, twisty Monaco city course. My tune is really intended to be driven as a three speed using only 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears. I do not recommend ever using 1st gear. First gear in a race car is only meant to be used for exiting pit road, post-race burnouts on the way to the winner’s circle and to load the car on the trailer. I made 2nd gear really tall in order to cut down on corner exit wheel spin. I also built the gear box to allow the testers to use 2nd gear from Tabac (turn 12) all the way through Louis Chiron (turn 13), Priscine (Pool turn 14), turn 15, 16, La Rascasse (turn 17), turn 18 and Anthony Noghes (turn 19). Plus, 2nd gear can carry you through turn Sainte Devote (turn 1), Massenet (turn 3) and Casino (turn 4) then the 5, 6, 7 and 8 section. Less shifting should allow for more driver focus on hitting their marks.

I will try this tommorrow but with lower HP so i can run it for 500pp races ;-)

Racing at Mid Ohio in the rain last night was awesome. Sideways on the back straight kink at 85 mph woke me up. One of the best saves of my career. Having too much fun. Will post updates through the weekend. Qualifying in 30 minutes.

Saturday qualifying.

A Spec Racer Ford blew up on lap two. I hit it doing 80 mph. Second biggest save of my career. Last nights rain practice was very beneficial for racing in oil. Note to SRF driver: when your engine goes bang, do not drive it back to the pits from half a lap in. Pull over behind the next worker station through the grass.

Not sure where I qualified but it felt good and I passes about 12 of the 44 cars on the track without anyone passing me. Just hoping to be in the top 10 somewhere.
