Talking about old stuff, here is one of the craziest races I have ever seen: the 1979 Around Australia Reliability Trial sponsored by Repco. A 2-week race with stages so long most/all cars had 3 or even 4 occupants. Vehicles had to be 2-wheel-drive and had to be almost unmodified. Participans went from touring car legend Peter Brock to desert racing specialist Shekthar Mehta to the freaking sports director of Ford Australia. This is both an OMG race and a WTF were they thinking kind of event, some sectors were absolute nightmares!
Despite claiming 9 Bathurst endurance races, 3 Australian Championships & anything else worth winning in a touring car, Peter Brock rated the Repco Trial victory as his proudest achievement.

God bless Jordan Taylor.
No one was penalised for doing so.Are the exiting cars allowed to go back into the slow lane?

Funny you should say that. I used that same footage to demonstrate that point in one of those ''Who's fault is it'' threads for GT Sport .Great in real life, dive-bomb by a complete noob in gaming.
