Ryan Preece, who had that scary, multiple barrel-roll flip at Daytona a few years ago, just had another airborne crash at Daytona. He is alright.

Yeah, i saw it live, it shows it's not an issue with the tracks, it's the cars.

NASCARs have been taking flight at Daytona, and other tracks, since Bill France Jr was in short pants.

They were doing it before the restrictor plate was brought in, and they've done it in every generation of NASCAR since.

It will continue to happen so long as there is an opportunity for air to get under the car, when that car is not travelling in the desired direction.

It is not rocket science. It is aerodynamics and physics doing what they do.

Graham Hill push starts his own Lotus during the 1967 Canadian GP. He went on to finish 4th, 2 laps down on winner Jack Brabham.

The nearest I could think of (I don't really remember it though) was 1994 Pacific GP.

Monaco 96 would like a word.

Nasty-looking brake failure. Ouch. They make them tougher than that these days and you can really tell from those images.

Not the first time a 905 has had a brake failure at top speed

Edit: Looking into this further, this was 3 laps from the end of a 500km race and Dalmas was one of only two cars in Group C1 still in the race. In fact only 3 cars actually crossed the finish line
