I've got an '02 Kona Scab, that I'm sure I've mentioned here (or some other MTB thread on GTP). It's had its fair share of use and abuse, but I haven't ridden it in a few months, due to crank/bottom bracket and sproket problems. The sproket is the big one on the front, bent due to hard shifting or something (gears are no longer perfectly adjusted). It no longer stays straight, and always bends in the same spot. Just enough to make the chain skip when I pedal hard. Oh, and a few broken spokes. The wheels are still fairly true, though.
It's got '02 Bomber Z1 Wedge shocks.
I know I have a picture somewhere in my computer, I'll see if I can dredge it up.

[Edit] - I know, it's not very clean.

Thanks,
It's more robust than it looks, since it's a chromoly frame. Unfortunately it's also heavier than one would think. As is there, it must weigh in the 40 pound range.

Bleh, my Hardtail is 33 pounds.

When I get all my financial things in order (Paying my parents for the Bike. :D)

I am going to ditch this damn cross country fork and get a nice, robust set of wheels. A 2.5" Pro Roller front tire, and probably buy new derailleurs, shifters, and cranks when they break.

I am going to take my bikes outside and get some shots of them... and then see if my dad can get a decent shot of me jumping.

Tabletop anyone?

I had ridden bikes all my life. Rode mountain bikes in early 90's, and I actually thought I could ride better than I could walk. One day, my $400 bike(can't remember which) got stolen, and $400 was a lot of money back then. I stopped riding at that point, period. :indiff: I tried riding my brother's bike few years later, but felt really weird.

:odd: How can riding a bike feel weird? My dad has a treadmill, I ran on it once... Never again. Now THAT "weird" :grumpy:

My Scott was stolen on sunday :( :(

After taking it to work i left it outside Pizza Hut at 10am on a sunday morning for less than 5 minutes (there was no-one around) but once i had got around to the back door to bring it in it had been taken :irked:

I like to look on the brightside though, the bike could have used a lot work done to it's gears as the chain often slipped. And it's the end of the season meaning 2005 spec bikes have money off ;)

Today i lookeed around some local bike shops and Halfords (who really surprised me) I was a able to get a GT Aggressor 1.0 for £300 (reduced from £400), 27speed, Seriously lightweight, beefy looking rims, and Rock ShoX fork.

The bike is kind of an anomaly as i think only Halfords sell it, and i can't find pics on the net. It's being built tomorrow and i should be able to pick up by about 6pm. I'll probably takw some photos of it with my phone.

Hehe, it's pretty close to my dream bike i would say, though i would welcome something more expensive and hardcore lets be realistic i'm a student working at Pizza Hut (you've gotta budget(ish..)

That really sucks ass... I'm always worried about that with my bike even when in my sights. That's cool your looking on the bright side.

A long time ago someone stole my dad's and my bike out of the garage, they must have known what was going on because they went though the side gate and then side garage door which someone forgot to lock (I don't know who).

They tried to get into the house but luckily the door was deadbolted plus the idiots tried to use a spatula or something to pry the door open. ****ing idiots... There were all these other tools all over in the garage they could've used that were a lot more heavy duty.

What sucked is that year bikes we had were the nicer quality Diamondback Sorrentos ( even though it was neon yellow  which I liked :ill: at the time ) because the next bike versions which we got as replacements had those gay ass swirls in the paint.

A couple of pics of my new bike, had some pretty stormy weather since i picked it up (red hot and sunny during the day though) so i'm itching to ride it :nervous:

pic quality is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad... :scared:

on monday i fell off my mountain bike and got to spend 2 nights in hospital whooo
when my mates toby and joe faound me (joe is R34jse) i was unconcius but snoring with my bike on top of me lol

Sorry to hear about the crash, how'd it happen?

i was there and saw it. we where at a specialist mountain biking centre thing called PORC its stand for Penshust Offraod Riding Club. any way there was a big road gap about 6-7 foot hight and a bout 10-15 foot wide and he thought it was alot smaller and just whent flimg off it and got it wrong his bike was fine shame about his face though and he was snoring when we found him:lol:

What GT do you have? mine's an Avalanche 3.0. I'm not a really serious mountain biker so I dont need anything too flashy.

EDIT: sorry, i've just seen the pic at the top of the page. Is that an Avalanche 0.0 or an Avalanche 1.0? I know one of them only comes in that white, red and black colour scheme.

I suppose i could take some more (its in the shed ATM) tomorow if you wanted but i've only got a rubbichy T610 phone to take them with.

I'm bored, so enjoy some obscure pics.
