Moving mud flaps in Gran Turismo 6

The mud flaps on rally cars don't move as they should and as they were moving in Gran Turismo 4. For example examine how the mud flaps (black square behind rear wheels) behaves correctly in GT4 and how it looks fake in GT5:

Lancia Delta S4: Gran Turismo 4

Lancia Delta S4: Gran Turismo 5

The same happens in other rally cars like Lancia Stratos. I hope someone could forward this issue to Polyphony or to a feature list for GT6.

Some of you may say that I am nitpicking but since the mud flap animation was done for GT4 it's baffling how it's not in GT5 for cars that were ported from GT4. That (along with other things) in my opinion shows how quickly and without care standard cars were ported. Oh and by the way cars like the Delta S4 and the Stratos should have been premium and not standard!!

There's more important issues to be fixed than having the mudflaps work correctly.

This really is more of a bug with GT5 than something they need to worry about for GT6. Granted, a bug that likely would have been easy to fix that they just never bothered to do (like the various other little problems prevalent in the Standard cars), but not something that will probably come up again.

You are spot on about the standards. This is even more apparent when you look at some of the clone cars. For example in GT4 there are rear wheel drive models of the Mitsubishi 3000gt/GTO. In GT5 we have those same trim packages but they now all have awd with the only difference between the base and top models being horsepower and maybe weight.

Please don't bring this to their attention. This is the kind of thing Polyphony Digital would LOVE to spend 10,000 hours screwing around with while meanwhile all the important stuff gets ignored.

Probably explains why they didn't implement this detail in GT5.

Plus they need better rally tracks with better detail to the rally tracks.

I honestly don't even acknowledge rally racing in GT5. I ignore it completely. The lack of detail, and the garbage wheel problems (the limited degrees of rotation) when driving on dirt/snow tracks. That makes me ignore it completely.

So the mud flaps moving around on rally cars? Fix rally racing period first then worry about details I don't even look at 98% of the time anyway.

Looking good so far 👍

Extra leaves on the circuit
slightly brighter fenders
moving mud flaps

All we need now is maybe

extra dust on the dashboard
possible wipers on the headlights
or coloured gear knobs

Doesn't get the mud flaps he wants in GT5.

Wants them in GT6.

Good luck on your quest, dude.

The 3000GT/GTO were only available in 4WD. So either GT4 was wrong or you are imagining things (I sure can't remember a RWD 3000GT/GTO).
