That's and easy and obvious one for me. The all time king of the muscle car. 1970 SS Chevelle LS6/454/450hp. #2 would be the Shelby Cobra 427. #3 is the 1970 El Camino SS 454/LS6/450hp.

Ohhh...1 more....1969 Dodge Daytona (440ci)

My muscle car dream is a Black (with red stripes on the side skirts) 1969 mach 1 iwth a 428 SCJ engine (shaker hood) with a 4sp. Yeah. :-)

Ooooo, let me think here...

'69 Camaro, black with silver stripes

'71 Cuda convertible, lime green colored with black stripes

'68 Charger, black :D

'72 Challenger

Buick GSX Stage 1

AMX

Superbird :D

'69 Boss 429 Mustang, with all the extra appearance things, like front and rear spoilers, hood scoop, stripes, etc.

plus various GTOs, roadrunners, 442s, mustangs, the Shelby Cobra, etc.

Mhh I like a lot of different cars come to think of it. Classics, exotics, roadsters etc.

My fave car of all time has got to be the Porsche 550 Spyder.

As far a muscle cars go, there's a lot of 'em I like. :)
I'd effinatly would love a Mustang Mach I (or maybe a "Boss")
GTO, Charger, Roadrunner, 'Cuda, heck i could go an a while...

There's just something about the raw sound of a powerfull V8 I guess.

Had the chance to buy a AMC AMX some years ago wich considering I live in Holland would be a "practical" muscle (pony?) car.
It had bright purple metalflake colour, sidepipes, high jackers and some classic Edelbrock tuning done to it...
Thing is... i don't like Bright purple metalflake, sidepipes and high jackers on a car like that. Bought a Truimph Spitfire instead :D

Oh yeah. Stock Hemi Bee.

# 2 :camaro 69.
# 3:mustang 69 (eleonor)
and many more, the hemi was so great too.

i like more the camaro 69,but the 68 is so rare car.(exotic and hard to find)

Dodge Challenger,Charger,or Plymouth Barracuda...

all of them have either a 426 "Elephant Motor"
with the six-pack package...... 480 hp on tap

or my favorite... the 440 cubic inch "monster hemi"
of course a six-pack package, with 530 horsepower on tap,I aint fraid' of nuttin'

I'd pick a 440 hemi six-pack in a Challenger,just beautiful!!

I'm gonna merge this thread with the other one of the same name.

Well I thought I was...Jordan hasn't updated the system to work with the new URLs of the threads or posts...ohh well...

The GTO is generally considered the pinnacle of the Muscle Car.

What's really interesting is that muscle cars are rapidly becoming more and more valuable ta auctions. They're the highest prie increase vehicles in the last 5 years or so. So many have been scrapped that they're becoming soemwhat rare, and good condition/restored examples especially so.

Because of today's mass-production of vehicles, Muscle Cars will probably be the last type of mass produced vehicle to pull a decent amount of money at auction (at least for cars less then 50 years old or so).

My favorite muscle cars are the little ones with the big motors.
1: Yenko Z-28
2. Ford Thunderbolt (Falcon with 427 side-oiler)
3. Hemi Mopars. (426's with 2 4bbl carbs)
4. Big block Mopars without Hemi heads (340s, 383s, 440s) My favorite being the '70 Challenger/Cuda
5. AMC AMXs with 390ci engine
6. 1967-70 Mustangs with 390-429ci engines.
(I'm probably the one "Ford Guy" on earth that doesn't particularly care for the 351 Cleveland engine. It's too hard to work on, but it is a great small-block, for someone else)
7. Tri-Power Goats (any year)
8. '66-67 Chevelles with the 396
9. Early ('62-'64) Ford Galaxie 500's with 406 tri-carb motors.
10. Those damnably ugly Plymouth Fury's with the 413's with the carbs on the "catty-corner" manifolds.
11. Honorable mention to big-block pre-1972 El Caminos. Nothing like a quick parts-chaser.

I am also a big fan of "Q-ships"/Sleepers. There is nothing cooler than having some jerk in a "tricked out", flame paint job, open-exhaust, "bomb" rev on you in the family wagon or four-door sedan. Then, you getting the hole-shot and whomping him good.
Tailor-made for the "Kills thread".
