MX-5 Cup @Lime Rock lap times

My times are with the Fixed setup in NVidia cup.

Thats Qual time. Race laps are high 58's into low 59's.

Here is how my lap goes:

Downshift to 4th for turn 1
halfway around downshift to 3rd and power out up towards 2. Hit 4th before turn 2.
Carry 4th to mid corner again, and then back to 3rd. Hold 3rd through the right hander and hit 4th on the exit.
Hold 4th all the way until the final corner and hit 5th down the hill before you turn in.
Hold 5th all the way to the line and hold to turn 1.

Don't need 6th gear at Lime Rock.

That hill you show in the picture is so much harder than it looks.
I ran 2 laps for qualifying, 59.6 using 4th and 5th gear. I have done faster T1s using 3rd but like I said I can't keep the car "balanced" 90% of the time.

After trying the Skippy at WGI (what a horrible car...) then the TDI around LRP (nice car), I hopped back in the MX-5 and can now get into the high 59s with some consistency. A little more work and I should be able to lap there regularly

Turning off the auto blip is really nice in it. Now I can do a very smooth shift to 5th for the last corner and get some great exit speed. Of course you now HAVE to use the clutch on the up shift.
