Ive been adding some NISMO extras to the car the last few weeks and thought I would make a thread as ive got a couple more planned

Just recently added the brand new NISMO Cold Air Intake made available in the US only last month. its sounds really awesome a loud suction when under load then a audible blow off from the diverter valve on the turbo when off throttle

NISMO Dry Carbon Pillar Garnishes from Japan

NISMO sport pedals (OEM accessory from the UK) with dead pedal to replace the ugly rubber ones

NISMO Door Entry Guards from Japan

Coming soon is the -35mm sport springs from NISMO Japan

Good stuff 👍 Any chance of a video recording the sound of the cold air intake? One of my biggest complaints about the Juke Nismo RS (and there aren't many), is that it sounds really, really dull as standard. It just sort of drones away at both ends.

here you go the wind noise kicks in but you can hear is pretty good at the very first of the suction then blow off

that video was with the stock suspension.

na got up to 115 maybe as I braked really early since I only had 2 laps and didnt have a feel for how the car would stop. for comparison I was 158-160 each lap in the GTR right beforeI took the Juke out.

the Juke is going to be more of a fun autoXer for me as it really wears on the GTR for what you get out of it.. so im switching to that full time.

Seems pretty well sorted for a crossover, then. I can imagine it'll make a good autocrosser when you've got the braking the way you want it. Nice toy!

thanks and since ive been driving it the last few days with the NISMO springs just that mod changes the car totally. that 1.5 inch drop and change in center of gravity really make it feel more like a hot hatch now and ditches the CUV vibe. you tell it sits lower just by sitting in it. so it should be pretty decent at autocross

Your Juke is bad to the bone! I own a 2014 Juke Sl awd and love it!! The torque vectoring is fantastic and really helps rotate the car when your hard on the gas through the middle and exit of a corner. I never thought I would like a cvt transmission but I have no real complaints with it. I just wish it would launch from a stop a little faster/harder. The cvt manual mode works great but wish I had paddle shifters like yours RS.

thanks!

I think the CVT is pretty good as well for daily driving and some spirited runs too

I did have some problems with it on AutoX though. I couldnt get it to say down in the 1 simulated "gear". for instance I would put it in manual then take off and once I got through maybe 1/3 of the course there would be a slow corner where I would have to really brake and be off the gas. every time I went to get back on the power i would look down and it would be in 3rd and pretty much kill my time. As I did more runs I figured out it was partially from me shifting it to 2nd when I needed to just leave it in 1.

finally the solution I found was anytime I thought it might up shift I would just knock it down with the paddle and if it was already in 1 it just wouldnt do anything so no big deal..but having to constantly check and see what it was doing was distracting.

now with all that said on the longer road course I just left it in "D" and it did fine. also for accleration 0-60 runs I would put it in manual but let the computer shift for me and that netted my best time

I wonder if the cvt shifting can be adjusted through a ecu tune? One thing I did notice is that if ecu detects wheel spin with traction control off it goes into a protection mode and the cvt won't shift at all for about a minute. This mostly happens if I'm running in fwd mode. Does your RS do this?

Have you tried 0-60 in fwd vs awd?
I feel like it's slightly more responsive when I takeoff.

havent noticed the protection mode but I leave it in the AWD-V most of the time with traction on. had traction off at the autoX and didnt notice a big difference

yeah AWD was a little faster but with the CVT if you brake boost to 3K then let off the brake that is the best time. I think I got 6.8 secs but that was on a hot day without the CAI so this fall im gonna try again
