Some photos of my 1993 Honda Civic
The day I bought it. I have all 4 LS Webs, but need new tires for the fronts.

Has a low mile D16z6 put it half assed by the previous owner, but it runs great.

Today I just put on the rear window wing and also the wink mirror. Didn't have a mirror when I bought it :yuck:

Specs
Engine:
-1.6L D series vtec, bone stock, around 60k mi.
I think I need a new ECU, think mine is from a non-vtec. it hits late.
Suspension:
-lowered on some random springs(probably ebay)
-Front and rear strut bars. Suspension is pretty stiff, because race car

Exterior:
-LS Webs all on different tires, lol
-Si fogs(I think ebay, not even hooked up)
-sideskirt delete(huh?)
-window wing(ebay, gift from my brother)

Interior:
-ebay wheel/hub
-wink mirror
-pretty pink shift knob(came with car, got a mugen one being shipped)
-random missing pieces.

Some future plans include new tires, intake, twin loop exhaust, headers, race seats(possibly type r style). Possibly a lip kit, JDM red/white taillights and amber corner lights.

You should build the D16 up, not a lot of those running around since everyone want's to go B series.

Also, save money to get that Vtec ECU, it will help tons.
HONDATA will do you good.

Correct me if im wrong but D series engines are non vtecs. These are the basic honda's have to offer.
Cars looks rust free so you got a good car to start with.

Change to b series or k series or even h series.

p.s i had a ek9 with k20 :D

No, this is false. D series can be called a basic engine, but many of them do have the vtec

These are the engines that came with vtec
D15B
D15B5
D15Z1
D15Z3
D15Z6
D15Z7
D15Z8
D16W4
D16W5
D16W7
D16Y5
D16Z6
D16Z7

Plus many more, lol.

The problem with swapping K series is money. A K series motor is quite expensive, and for a EG coupe, I'd suggest a B series swap.
I'm not a fan of H22 swaps, but they work well.

I suggest staying with his D16 motor, the VTEC helps because its a decent platform. It dosent have the potential of a B16 of course, but a built D16 is always sweet.

I'd estimate it at about 70 including non Vtec models.
Yes, the same in the U.S as well, but the vtec D series have usually been raped by so called tuners if you know what I mean.

If I had some cash I'd buy a EG and get some Bisimoto parts, he works magic with a D series motor.

This is a D16Z SOHC making 700 whp.

A single Overhead Cam.

700 whp.

Thats insane IMO

I think that wheel is an ebay wheel. I've seen it pop up a lot when I went to check out deep dish steering wheels. But with the logo on the center cap, I am not really sure...

It is. I bought it, just to have a release hub. Its my ghetto security system. No one's gonna steal my car... unless they have a wheel :dunce:

I bought new tires the other day online. At least I think I did, they havent taken the money out yet... :ouch:
Gonna have to keep an eye on my statements and try not to spend much money so theres enough when they take out the money. Would be nice to get all 4 wheels to match. Parents dont like all the tires and wheels me and my brother have laying around the garage.

Nice man, I am still in the process of getting a coupe as well. As for the wheel, dont be so sure that no one can steal it just because it has a release hub. I have seen a car with a release hub been jacked just by clamping some tools to the wheel hub. Good luck with your build though, all im saying is never assume its safe! Especially for the type of car it is.

Some recent photos. Got the new tires. Also bought the overdone amber corner lights, and a new intake.
Not pictured, just picked up a driver side sideskirt, and also got my side window visors yesterday.
Next paycheck I need to buy a new radiator, seems as though some seals are letting out fluid from the top. Gonna go for a 2 row Megan Racing one instead of getting it fixed or buying an stock replacement.
