My b-spec driver is getting worse

I haven't tried b-spec on any enduros yet. So, if you do use and leave it, say on Steady, overtake, will the driver pit by himself or do you have to stay and monitor the race and pit when necessary? TIA

He will pit when your tires are going or your almost out of gas. If you are running the race at 3x it will go to 1x speed.

I'm running it now (B-spec) and I'm in the CLK GTR. But I'm up against a '67 2D Racecar. My car was like six minutes down after one night on Level 2. I bumped it up to Level 3 so maybe that will make a difference, hopefully. I think I just got unlucky with the other cars. Hopefully my guy will pull it out.

I have to admit, I'm terrible at the 'ring, so I'm driving the majority of the 24hr enduro in b-spec mode. I'm using my fastest car, the Escudo. Yea, yea, it's a dirt car, but it's faster around the 'ring than my heavily modded M5 (both were tested in b-spec mode prior to starting the race).

The first 20 laps or so I was putting a beating on everyone, I was +4 laps on the 5th and 6th place cars. I'm now on lap 63, and the second place person has closed the gap by 4 minutes, he seems to be slowly reeling me in. I have no idea how, my car definitely is a gas gussler and goes through tires like mad, but I was 5 minutes ahead of him after the first 20 laps, and now I'm only a minute ahead.

My car is also going off track a lot more, and probably spinning out/needing to reverse once every 1-2 laps. I realize that my car is way too much power for the track, but that still doesn't explain why the first 20 laps were great, and now they're garbage. The lap times seem to be up by an average of 20-30 seconds.

I haven't messed with the speed settings too much, I tried slowing it down to 2 or 1, but neither of those settings takes advantage of the top-end on that long straight before the finish line (going 214mph is a bit better than putting safely along at 145).

Anyway, when I get up in the morning I hope it'll be well on my way to having an F1 car, I just thought it was weird that my driver seems to get worse with time. I'd almost be better off driving the whole thing myself, and I am TERRIBLE on this track :(

My suggestion to anyone reading this thread, don't use a crazily over-powered car, it's not efficient in the least bit, especially if your b-spec driver is as retarded as mine. For the record my b-spec was around 4100 before I started the race.

Other suggestions are welcome! :)

You have reached 25% in the game yet your two best cars are the escudo and m5. Did you sell all the cars you win? Havent you got enough money for a better car.???

What race are you running? Are you talking about the CLK touring or CLK race car?

The Nurb 24 Hr. and the CLK race car, sorry. I thought it would be an easy race, but apprantly not.

If you dont have an a B-spec driver that has experience you will have issues staying on the track on Nurb, especally if you have your car set abouve 2 with overtake on. You will notice in this car (i used it on this race also) that your driver doesn't pit until the tires turn red, so keep it on 2 or 1 and let it go. It worked for me (my b-spec driver was about 3000 at the time). good luck!👍

No my B-spec driver is pretty good: Machine at 88 and the other two at 66. It's just that the 2D racecar is just a little too quick I think. If the other cars were just JGTC and other "slower" racecars that most people said the had faced in that race, I would would win for sure. Hopefully when I get home I will find my guy in the lead but I kinda doubt it. The CLK is fully tuned by the way.

Man, that stinks your stats are great. My car was fully tuned also. By 2D racecar are you talking about the Gillette?

question... (stupid question sorry) If you complete endurance races in general outside of the championship mode where you're locked in to all races back to back I know you don't get the main prize money but do you still get the prize car?

Oh and my suggestion on any track with a good highspeed straigh would be any jgtc car with an extended gear ration for top speed which should in turn smooth out the power ban which I noticed helps relieve high torque cars chewin up tires so quickly on the right pace setting of course. On the straights your car should really pull away. 💡

Its in the endurance hall. I think the race is called Fuji 1000k.:)

i bought mine in the used car lots along with the other 3 Black LMP cars on days 694, 695, 696, and 697. ^_^

i just happen to like the R92CP the best, and used that one most.

The 2D is a Chaparral, along with the 2J.

The 2D looks like a regular race car from the 60's
The 2J is the "Fan Car" with sliding skirts and two huge fans sucking air out from underneath the car to create downforce. Extreme technology for it's day. I think that car dominated whatever series it ran - CanAm or whatever.

Brabham attempted it in Formula One, the car (BT23 I think) won it's first race, and was banned forthwith. How's that for an unfair advantage?

I've sold three cars so far: Toyota RSC Rally (I sold it and won another), Mitsu Pajero (final special edition hall race, I was mad that it wasn't the escudo, so I sold it), and the VW lupo 1.4 you get for bronzing or silvering the b license. I have around 6 full pages of cars in my garage. I'll get around to playing with them all someday :)

I don't like buying race cars, I'd rather win them. 4.5M seems like an awful lot for an Audi racecar, I'd rather win my fast cars :)

Oh yea, the 2d was the one giving me fits, it's definitely a quick car. Lcukily the mighty escudo managed to stay on the track at least 60% of each lap to hold him off.

Now I have a John Deere special F1 :( I wish it were red :(

Just for testing when I just bought the game I did a race in arcade with the Dodge Ram versus all those slow Fiat 500's etc and I was first before the first corner. Then I did the same race on B-spec and put it on level 3 and he finished 5th!!! I can't understand

yeah, because you pushed yourself to limit to pass everone, but you put stendy on b-spec so she have to clam and follow other car, and if you want to push your b-spec to limit to get frist place, all you need to put PUSH (5) with overtaking ON, and she'll push and pass anyone as she can, once she get frist place, put her back to normal (stendy (3) with no overtaking on (unless she is ready to overlap other))

thanks for the info, I ended up winning a chaparral 2D this weekend :) . It reminds me of a GT 40.

Hey sorry I never replied to my own reply. I won the Nurb 24 Hr. by less than 5 minutes, and I was actually racing with the CLK Touring car not the the CLK-GTR, my mistake. And yes my B-spec kicks ass, for whatever reason (as in I have no idea why), M-88, C-75, B-74. with like 7000 points.
