Since none of my friends like racing games, I felt the need to share my joy with you guys :D.

I did my second Honda VGT One Make daily tonight. The first one I qualified 2nd, and finished 2nd, in a good race, very close to the 1st place in early last lap but never got proper space to make my move.

I went in again. Put in a little more time in qualifying, improved my lap a little bit and entered the event. I got pole position, and I was focused on getting a win tonight. After 3 wins in my first 5 races in Sport Mode, I've been on a 6 race winning drought, been too long since I get a taste of gold! :D

Race starts, and I kept my lead through the race, winning with a sizable gap. I also got the fastest lap, 2nd time I manage that, and I even beat my QF lap by .400. And to top it off, I got promoted to DR C. Couldn't have ask for a better result :D.

On a sidenote, I really like that car! Fun to drive. Coincidentally, I just got that car as a daily gift earlier today :)

Sorry to blabber, just felt the need to share my fortune tonight ;)

EDIT: Driver field had 3 DR C / SR C drivers, the rest was D/C. I drive manual with ABS on "weak", and I set TC on 3 for this car. All other aids off.

It can be a little touchy under heavy braking imo but overall I think it’s a super fun car to drive. I qualified 2nd in my event as well and was running strong until I took a corner too fast. Still finished 3rd tho :sly:

True. Can also be a little tail happy, even with TC on 3, as evident in my replay :D.

Good stuff.

Little tip. If you'd use some more of the track and attack some curbs a bit harder, especialy in the esses and downhill chicane there is some easy time to be found there.

It's totally undrivable on DS4.

I have to disagree :). I'm using the DS4 myself and found it a bit challenging, but a very fun drive with ABS on weak and TC on 3 :)

Thanks man, will keep that in mind :). I tackled those corners a bit safe as I've had some trouble with consistency on those parts. Will continue working on it, practice makes perfect :)

I enjoyed it but I found it does promote a somewhat more chaotic race. I had a quick go last night and couldn't set a decent quali time. ended up 11th and carnage ensued. I managed to stay out of trouble and ended up seventh. had some more time qualifying before the second event and grabbed pole, made a small mistake on lap one and ended up second, me and the guy in first had a great battle only aside from the last lap. Coming into the last corner I got the run on him and went for the outside, he defended the inside and broke early (as you would on the inside), I lost the rear end completely and he didn't break enough, anyway we met somewhere in the middle i ended up running a 10 sec penalty down on the home straight and ended up 6th. He ended up with a 2 sec penalty and came second. Mutual apologetic messaging followed soon after...

I also had a race yesterday with the VGT but i also have to say that it´s really not so easy to drive with controller. It dances more through the curves then smooth driving… ;-) Espacially the tight corner after the downhill right is tough to drive. But in the end it´s a nice track and i like it.

God i need a wheel back on my PS4…..!

I did it on DS4. TC at 3 and Braking set to brake heavier on the front

I had to do the same, but really don't like TC even though I'm using a controller, something that inherently needs it... also very very stubborn lol

Haha true. I try to race without but often find it hard with the pad to make very fine adjustments to the throttle and steering, especially with the last 20% of the travel controlling such a big range of the throttle input. So I shamelessly use TC if I feel it's needed :D.

I had the G25 before with GT5 and GT6 and raced pretty much exclusively with all aids off (except ABS). Just so much easier with a good wheel :)

Do we have to put up with this car for the next few days like the Clio? It's the worst Honda I've ever driven :yuck:

On the DS4 I still couldn't dial that car in. My fastest times were with weak counter steering and TC of 1. Even with the counter steering set to 1, I was twitching the car left and right on the straight praying that my car would be balanced enough before the next turn. I would either thrown down some gritty hot laps or wash out hard. In that state racing with the car would be an SR nightmare.

Pushing the TC to 2 and the counter steer to heavy made the car more consistent and manageable but I would losing 1 second off of my time despite being able to better put my car where I needed it. I never got my lap dialed down enough to begin racing before I got tired and went to bed.
