- Ability to gift cars to friends
- Ability to gift colors to friends
- Ability to gift editable Liveries to friends, or make uploaded liveries editable
- Ability to change other entries in the Custom Race setup screen such as grid position, grid spacing etc.
- In Custom Races, add a wider range of AI skills than 3. Maybe 5 or even more. I like a close race, and fine tuning the AI is a nice way to do this as well as providing a yardstick for comparison
- In Custom Races, add ability to change skill level of opponents from the menu at the end of a race, so the race can immediately be repeated with different AI skills without having to set it up from scratch.
- Provide ability to mark chosen cars in garage as “favorites”, or even a star rating with up to 5 stars
- Ability to select cars by category including POTENTIAL category that a car can be adjusted to without spending mileage points
- Ability to apply “special colors” to decals, not just standard colors
- Ability to save personal colors created with HSV codes
- Ability to apply factory-standard paint colors and schemes
- Ability to recolor interiors/seats to tone with external livery
- Ability to choose background and foreground colors for racing numbers, including transparency for either
- Ability to choose country flag in driver name
- Ability to choose driver name in any color (including “special colors”) not just black or white
- Ability to display location, rotation and size of shapes and groups of shapes quantitatively
- Ability to edit downloaded liveries (albeit with owner permission)
- Ability to inspect a livery in detail before downloading (full screen and ability to rotate it, thus viewing both sides and rear in detail)
- Ability to more elegantly handle large numbers of “special colors”. A single horizontal scrolling list is clumsy. Special colors could be able to be sorted by hue, saturation, texture etc.
- Ability to paint just one body part without over-writing the factory paint on the rest (such as just changing “Other” or “Rear Wing” and leaving the other areas stock)
- Ability to remember the colors used from one session to another, not just during a session (so on loading a Livery, the colors used would come with it)
- Ability to reproduce approximations of special colors via their HSV parameters if not their textures
- Ability to replace a shape with another shape, scaling the new shape to fit the replaced shape (especially useful when building a text string)
- Ability to retain original livery in an editable form
- Ability to save edited shapes and groups of shapes locally
- Copy/Paste (ability to transfer edited shapes, and groups of shapes, from one part of a car to another, and even from one car to another car)
- Ability to group/ungroup shapes, and save groups of shapes in a local library
- Identification of manufacturer colors in Mi Exchange as being "manufacturer colors" prior to purchase. It's possibly implied in the name, but not clearly
- Ability to compare this week’s “special colors” in the Mileage Exchange with owned colors (it’s hard to see how close a color is to one already owned)
- Ability to compare this week’s “wheels” in the Mileage Exchange with owned wheels (it’s hard to see how close a wheel style is to one already owned)
- In Mileage Exchange, flag cars, wheels, colors which are already owned as “owned”
- Ability to add AI cars to Lobby Races (I'm thinking of adding cars from participants' garages. This would be a way to use gifted duplicates as well!)
- Ability to choose competing cars from my garage in Custom Races with limits on my choices
- Ghosts would look better if they used the actual current livery of the car, not original livery
- In events where a "clean" race has benefit, provide an alert flag to show when dirtiness occurs and retain a dimmed version of that for the rest of the race
- It'd be nice to be able to change the transparency of ghosts. (I find them to be distractingly opaque and end up turning them off)
- Provide an indicator to show when drafting is helping, whether from front or rear and the relative magnitude of the benefit in real time
- Under “Discover”, ability to see which items have been downloaded and/or liked without opening up the items
- When I choose a "ghost" to race against in Time Trial, I want to be able to see how far ahead or behind it I am, and whether I'm gaining or losing ground (just like my own ghost)
- When I'm racing, I'd like to see how my speed at this point is comparing with my best lap speed at this location, such as it is in Time Trials. For bonus points, make the little red or green arrows vary in size and/or color intensity to indicate the degree of difference.
- Ability to add descriptive information to replays (like in GT6)
- Ability to add search terms to replays and other gallery items
- Ability to apply my liveries to AI cars in a replay
- Ability to change driver suit and helmet in a replay for better aesthetics
- Ability to choose shutter speeds in replay camera slower than 1/60 second (make it the same as the Scapes camera)
- Ability to create "playlists" of replays. Replays would be chosen from the playlist in random sequences, and played until interrupted.
- Ability to filter (or search) replays based on cars used, type of race etc.
- Ability to fine position car in replay backward as well as forward
- Ability to have replays "loop" until interrupted (think of it as a home-grown "demo mode")
- Ability to move the camera location when taking photos from the driver’s position
- Ability to pan the cockpit camera over a wider angle range
- Ability to slow down replays to ½, ¼ etc playback rates
- Ability to choose a different time-of-day at the beginning of a replay (for photographic or video purposes)
- Ability to view replays from cockpit in all cars, not just the player’s car
- Addition of the names of cars in a replay into its description (up to a reasonable limit of course). Example, I'd like to know which car(s) my friend(s) use in a Lobby Race before playing the replay
- Clearly communicate the amount of disk space remaining, what is consuming that allocation. Ability to sort on disk space consumed
- Have replay camera remember the panning mode and other camera settings (like it can remember landscape/portrait setting)
- If a replay is marked as a “favorite”, show that fact in the main replay window, so it doesn’t get accidentally deleted when trying to save space
- Likewise for photos, liveries
- Likewise for photos, liveries
- Option to play a replay using a new livery design on my car (select any one of my current liveries, or replace the embedded livery with a new livery).
- Provide ability to delete space-consuming items without losing the current replay
- Provide ability to sort replays (and anything else that consumes disk space, whatever that may be) on disk space consumed
- Provide ability to use local hard disk space more fully, and don’t refuse to save anything until at least 80% of the actual disk space is used
- Provide warnings when disk space consumption reaches meaningful thresholds approaching the, say, 80% limit
- When looping, replays could use varying random selections of trackside cameras for "freshness"
- Ability to hide players' names. (The ones which hover in the air above players' cars)
- Ensure that the racing suit and helmet used in Scapes photos is the currently selected suit/helmet livery. I’m finding the driver’s appearance sometimes clashes with my car’s livery
- Ability to turn off menu beeps and still have demo sounds
- During races, provide an option to display relative speed and time info like in Time Trials
- Only perform online saves of files which need to be saved online
- Ability to adjust the parameters of the "rubber-banding" of AI cars. For example, in a GT League event, the AI leader ran away to a 50 second lead only to lose by over 50 seconds at the end. I find this to be distracting from immersion.
- Remember HUD selections from one day to the next. For example, I like to use "Radar", not track map
- Ability to use Gr X cars in GT league events
