and here with G27 and the way it looks now 👍

so , what do you think guys !?

more pics & info coming soon :)

My blueprints of my project are very close to yours.
So i just can say : good work :P

Just my steering wheel is nearer the seat, different angle on the base.

Thanks a lot guys , a fellow has a garage and they did the job :)

BTW , everything is adjustable ( seat position , height of the steering , length of the pipes , etc...)

feel free 2 ask about anything you want .. ;)

One of the best sorted cockpits that doesn't cost loads of ££££££££'s i've seen, good one UAE-monster!!!

I was immediately drawn to your chassis design. I like it a lot. The feeling of the frame as a real tube-frame car chassis really appeals to me. I want one :)

Beautiful!

Easily one of the better looking homebuilt designs (of course I'm ignoring the bright yellow seat :sly:).

The only thing I would have done differently (and I did) is angle the wheel tray, so the wheel is at a more realistic angle (instead of the stock 45 degree angle...i.e bus driver position), but that's more personal prefference.

All in all, I am very impressed. Speaking as someone with a custom cockpit of their own, you are going to have hours and hours of fun with your new toy. Now, add a Buttkicker (planning on installing one myself) and you're sorted. 👍

;)

as i said , everything is adjustable , so you can adjust the chair place to the steering and the pedals ..

thanks guys ..

I see that.. I was alluding to the "angle" of the wheel tray, which if I'm not mistaken is not adjustable. At least it doesn't seem to be in the picture.

As I said, it's a personal preference thing. Most cockpits do not have an angled wheel tray, or the ability to adjust the angle. Mine is angled, and it's a good thing I like the angle, because I have no way to adjust it if I didn't. :ouch:

;)

Nice design! Im an engineer but dont have a lot of free time. I bought a gameracer rig. Looking at that though I figure I could knock that up in a day or 2....The thing I dont like about the game racer is the steering support...I turned it around but still find it restrictive.....Is that a powder coat finish? How much was that? Lately Ive seen the value if my kit rocket. My game racer cost £175 and my G25 £150. For some reason you can add £100 pounds to both those prices now? Its now well worth it to build your own!!!

Nice job looks the goods UAEmonster,
This is the non adjustable angle Delphic is refering to, I think.

thanks again for replying guys ..

Looks like one of the many you can find online for relatively cheap. Probably between $100 to $150, I'm thinking. Correct me if I'm wrong.

;)

Chair choice was not by me , the seat was added and choosen by the owner of the garage , i mean my friend who owns the wokshop .. he said thet he didnt find a better colour at that time (everything was done in 2 - 3 days only).. so i told him ahhhhh fine ok no problem ;p .... BTW , the seat is ok , i mean quality , material (leather) and design but the problem is with the colour ..

dont worry guys , this chair will not stay more than a month , coz am going to replace it with RECARO seat or Sparco .. which are not cheap :) ..

regarding the paint , i told him to use real cars painting .. and the results are !! great .. 👍

:)

If buying a proper race seat then consider if you can sitting in some at a local dealer, even if you end up buying elsewhere.

Many racing seats are quite snug and tight fitting.
If your more than a 40-42" chest and 34-36" waist then look into getting a GT (wider fitting)

The seat you have is like many on online auctions in the UK but I think they are only faux leather (fake leather)

Do consider car breakers though as something maybe like an RX8 or other sports type car seat could be a bargin if in good condition.

Woooooohhh I like it your mate has done a great job and the seat is well smart. I also have made a drivers pit shall put the pics on very shortly see what you think. Well done.👍

except the Rinoseat looks crap in comparison.

Sorry, but this guy's effort far exceeds anything Rinoseat has ever produced.

As a moderator, you should choose the words because this is very inappropriate.

I just try to give more information without my personal opinion.

I realized that for you, there is only Obutto, but do not forget that you must be an objective moderator and respect others opinions.

Ok, I'll bite. Point out what was inappropriate.

I gave my opinion of the Rinoseat, as compared to the OP's design, which in my opinion is far better than anything Rinoseat (which is a company I have followed for 4 years or more) has produced. I'm at a loss as to what was inappropriate about it.

My statement of the Rinoseat looking less then ideal, shouldn't cause you any stress, unless you work for Rinoseat and you're taking it personally.

Your post history says otherwise. Furthermore, this is exactly the place to give your opinion. Don't be afraid to let people know what you think, within reason.

Where are you getting this?

I didn't even compare them.

To be honest, there is a lot I don't like about the Obutto. Hence why I sold mine and built my own from scratch.

False crap about me!

Mockery of someone else's opinion!

Your post history says otherwise.

Please, can you specify these posts (where's my opinion?).

I gave several reasons for thinking ... https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=3769607&postcount=36
but still not my opinion until I see the final product.

Yes, it is my opinion about you.
