I wouldn't mind a second 5GB or so HDD, do then set the Windows Page File to my second harddrive which increases performance.
Or he could run a RAID system, and always have a backup. If I could afford it, I'd do that.

You know Windows XP has a Compatability Wizard so you can play old games (hell, you can even play DOS games).
 
not all dos games, thats why im gonna be using '98, with xp u cant get music playing for sc2000 (simcity2000) and theres always a short memory error when installing, even though i have PLENTY, otherwise i wouldnt be able to run XP so well...

Videocard...Looks like an ATI would do
9600 pro and above

Two 80GB hard drives could also be set up for RAID

Sim City 2000 runs fine on my machine.
 
I don't need more than one OS though...or one for games or whatever. I just use the 160GB for everything.
