My Drift Cars Setup

TXR Capone25
Thanks. Yeah I feel comfortable drifting with this tune. I'm working on my z33 545hp so I can share the tune.

I'll post my z33 tune later with full transmission tune. The transmission is awesome thanks to my team mate Zach who tuned it for me.

For me the LSD and the camber, are not even close to good. Excessive camber makes for a grip loss, and the LSD setup is far from perfect for control of the car.

It's all about preference :) I run no camber usually so I have positive camber instead of negative. I might look into putting a few ticks of camber on though to help put a little more tire on the road.

Edit: Now the way I tune is simple. I buy a car, and I drift it. Bone stock. Then, I start to change the suspension to where it feels right. Then I put the spring rates, dampers and anti roll bars all the way down and adjust them till THEY feel right. Depending on the way I want it to move, I'll set the toe or I leave it alone. Tranny I usually don't have to go into detail, just change the top speed and it drifts well. If it's a powerful car, I'll sometimes limit the power a bit. Other then that, If you do it right you just created a drift machine.

It's not my favorite car but I suppose I could tool around in a z34 when I get home from vacation... I'll let you know what I come up with, mind you I use a DS3 controller but since I play with steering sensitivity on +7, I think I can make it smooth enough to work on wheel

Alright, sounds good. Let me know if you ever need help tuning, as I hope you can tell by my philosophy I'm not someone who says "yea send me your car I'll tune it for you" and I give you a 5 minute tune. I also don't think of myself as the best tuner in GT, but I put enough time into it that I should get SOME approval :P And it would be fun tuning a car for wheel with a DS3

Yeah I been having problems drifting on my wheel. My car keeps spinning out every time. Idk if the tune is different from controller. I don't get it. I had like 2 days without using wheel. Because I get frustrated.

Wheel tunes ARE different than controller tunes, you can use a wheel tune with a controller but doesn't work that well the other way around! I find that controller tunes need to be tighter (suspension) while wheel tunes tend to work better softer. I also find that a wheel tune needs to be more precise than a controller tune, you have way more feeling with a wheel.

If you're having trouble, drift with something stock! Do all the engine upgrades and weight reductions but keep the PARTS stock! Even keep the suspension stock but tune the LSD to whatever you want.

For the Z34 try this:

Engine stage 3
Weight reduction stage 3
Stock intake
Stock exhaust but add Sports muffler
No Supercharger

Weight: Whatever.
Down force: 5
Ballast: 0
Ride Height: -25/-25
Spring Rate: 10/8
Dampers (Compression): 5/4
Dampers (Extension): 5/4
Anti Roll Bar: 2/3
Camber: 0.5/0.5
Toe Angle: 0/-20
LSD: 45/45/15
Brakes: 5/3
ABS: off

(Transmission)
Set top speed 4 notches down (to the left).
Set individual gears to whatever you like.

Comfort Hard Tires.
Grip On Real.
No Chassis Reinforcement.
Lip Wing.

Edit, this tune is just from the top of my head, you'll need to fine tune!

If you use rear wing, which I and most people here don't recommend using one, set the down force to the lowest (5). A wing will make you grip easier, which you don't want! Also, when transitioning, get off the gas! Don't floor it all the way through, get back on it when you need to keep it going! Feather!

Alright, I agree with everything Blunt said except for the wing :P I like my downforce because it gives me control of my car a little better, and fits my style  But yea im home now so imma find a z34 and tool around in it for a bit.

Hey I played around in the z34 online and... Well I like the car and stuff but tbh It drifts great with just a few hp mods and ride height down to -10 on back -9 on front

Ya, I was just giving Capone a general tune, I kept all extra mods off because it's easier for him to learn drifting on a wheel with lower power. Too much power will send him to the grass , just trying to avoid that for him ;).

That tune is pretty much my guideline for most of my cars (with a G27). It still needs a bit of tweaking for specific cars.

I got a new drift car! It's gonna be the only one I use from now on, the S2000 LM Race Car! Competition Car in the making!

Edit: It's pink, don't judge me o.O I like my pink cars.
