Try steering sensitivity at 100 and steering lock at 540. I have no noticeable steering lag with those settings.

You know i've tried those settings, but it just doesn't feel right to me.It's way to twitchy for how i drive.I'm sure it does wonders for you and many others though.

Does steering lock really make that much of a difference? I drive with 900 degrees and have no problem with it. Although sometimes when I approach a very sharp corner, it's a pain to counter-steer back over.

I made 1 more adjustment to my settings.

I changed the Speed Sensitivity to 10%.When i was using 40% the Faster cars, like the Zonda for example, were too twitchy when they got up to speed.I didn't notice this in the slower cars. With the 10% percent it feels just right as the faster cars have just enough play in the steering at high speeds to control them.

I must be confused as to what speed sensitivity actually does. I was under the impression that a higher percentage would make the cars more stable at higher speeds, and a lesser percentage would make the cars more sensitive (twitchy) at higher speeds

Through my experience with the settings and driving in this game(which i do a lot of)I've found that the higher the setting, the more your car reacts to your wheel inputs. So lowering the setting to where i have it now can make the car more stable at higher speeds.

This is more noticeable in the faster cars.

This is my setup now ,check it out i think it works pretty good..

I've seen the 540 steering lock before, but never tried it.Is it pretty comfortable?

Yeah its pretty good at 540 degrees, try it out and tell me what you think?..Im like you i dont drift, but i was thinking of setting the drift steering lock to 900 and keep the steering lock at 540, I saw a post saying that works really good...:)

After having to start the game all over again i decided to try out the 540 degrees steering and the result is i'm loving it.

I think it feels much better than what i was using and i think it helped me to get a few faster laptimes.

I'm going to make some changes to the main settings on this thread.

Thanks 👍

I think i figured out why it was too twitchy in one of my earlier posts.I use a steering lock of 22 in all my cars so maybe that had something to do with it.

Although when this 540 degrees is combined with a 65% steering sensitivity it starts to make more sense(well for me anyways). The wheel feels much more better and is more stable at higher speeds.

cool ,good to hear the 540 lock is working good for you,Are you leaving the clutch and drifting lock on the default settings?

I've still been messing around with my settings and i do believe i have found some even better settings.

I feel i have almost completely done away with the high speed back and forth swerving as some have stated is going on.Trust me i had it bad before my first set of settings.

With these new settings my test car was a Pagani Zonda and it was beefed up a little bit so it had some speed to it.I took this car to the Nurburgring and had a blast driving around the thing.I ended up with a 6:49 which is good for me in this type of car.

With my new settings it's much easier to control the car when going at high speeds and brake and throttle response complements each other pretty well with the 49%/49% setting for both.

It takes a bit of getting used to driving with a 40% steering sensitivity, but it all works out when you get used to it.👍

LOLOL

Ive only changed my settings once and after reading that the default wheel settings had been changed in the patch I clicked default, and they where exactly like mine before the patch but with the exception of brake and throtle deadzone (I had 0 and they have 6) so I left it on default. They are pretty decent now (after patch) well at least IMO.

Yeah i noticed the Deadzone was set to 6% after patch.I changed that as soon as i seen it. :)

is it possible to create a sticky thread for the dfgt settings posted here? so anyone who finds an alternative one can post and be seen by everyone. soon i will try out these.

One note to add.

When applying these settings do not reset your settings as suggested by some members. It may work out ok for the G27,but for the DFGT it makes the steering less responsive(feels like a constant 900 degrees no matter what the settings) and the Force Feedback is barely there.

One other note.Flashdrives are great to have.If i wouldn't have had one i would have shelved this game.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll back up my save before resetting everything to test the effects of the patch.

I just reset my settings for a 3rd time and for some strange reason i now have Force Feedback and the Steering is working fine. Not sure what happened those other 2 times.

I'm working on some new settings at the moment. It seems that the settings i have posted now are still good, but could be better.

Are You leaving the drift speed sensitivity at the default of 60%? and the Drift steering lock at 300?

Yeah i leave them at their default values since i don't do drifting.

Also the new settings you see up are my new values.Once the 2nd patch comes out they will probably change.
