My first day driving online

This is only my second post and a longish one, because last nights racing got me so annoyed I thought I'd share.

I was racing on Fuji last night (using logiG25), I was a bit drunk but still driving pretty well, after leading a whole race, on the penultimate lap I spun on the last corner I was third or forth once recoverd. The second place guy on the last lap came out of the last corner badly, I managed to slip stream and went for the over take only for him to attempt to bash me off the track, he turned invisible and went straight through me gave me second place, idiot couldn't take losing without trying that maneuver.

I thought 40k credits was pretty cool for second, and it would have been an easy win if it weren't for my slight lack of concentration through inebriation! So I tried again. I got some different racers this time, three I thought would be good and fair as they had GTP_ names, boy was I wrong. I had a poor start over braking into the first corner, only I realised it wasn't me under braking it was them pushing meoff. After being bullied on a few more corners I got it together, I had passed a few people, some passed me, I wasn't driving well. A vette came flying up behind me, I just held my line as I always try to, I expected him to shoot past me but he must have braked to stay just behind me. Someone else overtook us both and he waited till I had just begun to brake before doing the old pit maneuver, commonly demonstrated on USA police shows. This was so frustrating I was about 10th of 11 after recovering, I think I managed to claw this one back to 4th or 3rd. I couldn't believe it, I think his name was GTP_jth. I couldn't help but think he was just annoyed that he was making the effort in the harder car to drive and didn't want to beaten by the "easy" or "girly" car out of three options. I just don't understand poeple like this at all evry car surely has good and bad points the GTR isn't as fast I don't think as the other two cars in race.

Sorry for the rant. Sorry also to anyone I may have shunted I am beginning to get used to being shunted but never mean to do it myself. I also know I shouldn't drink and drive but it is fun in the virtual world, I honestly was not p1ssed or anything!
 
If I were to get deliberately punted by a GTP tagged driver I would certainly message him to remind him that the tag means something and sportsmanship is expected.

Of course there is nothing to prevent imposters using GTP tags in the public races, so maybe a check of the registry would be in order.
 
I looked to see if I could find or recognise the user names but didn't.

To be honest I didn't even know I could message people from in the game until I read it on a post about "best messaage to send a vanquished punter" thread. Which was a bit stupid. In the past with other games I have had some very stupid things said, so tried not to get caught up in that. Plus I'd need a keyboard, not using the pad to message someone, it takes too long!

Last night I had a lot more fun though with no GTP people, I never seem to find the real ones, else I'd race over and over! Most people I raced were pretty fair around Fuji. But then I felt like a race around Suzuka, I decided to under power myself with an ISF and I thought I would fair quite well, I probably would if it had been a race and not a destruction derby, literally cars quite a bit faster than me were staying behind me to push me off the full speed sections of track, I was punted off the track by pretty much everyone that came past/near me, to the point of ridiculous.

My favourite racer last night around Fuji was ACA_GT_SERBIA, then someone else I can't remember the name of battered past me to overtake him and I never really got back with them, he seemed like a good racer but very hard and aggressive.
 
i've entered online racing yesterday, and i allready saw many idiots there, i don't what is it, but they hit blocked the road all the time during the race, if my car was faster then they hit me in the side when i overtaked them, it's so stupid and lame, where teh normal racers go? i drove the expert pp750 suzuka circuit
 
First race online, I came 4th, I was very happy with it (well for me) but the problem was is that I brake too early on corners, which some punter apparently called it 'brake checking'

My Reply: Whats the problem with braking too early? Can't ram me into the barriers?
